Hiya, I go by Fenris or Fen and am a TTRPG veteran of roundabout 26 years, having started in my early teens and been the forever GM for a number of years, before moving on to become a player. I recently finished a PF2E campaign with an international group and am looking forward to move on to new horizons more set in a bright and exciting future. I am flexible regarding the day, being available for evening session from 18:00 to 18:30 my time onwards during Mondays to Fridays and basically fully flexible when it comes to the weekends. Also let me be very frank because I keep getting messages about this: I AM NOT INTERESTED IN D&D! Playstyle I am a person who both enjoys engaging roleplaying, interactions between the characters and with the world at large. To me a good game has a healthy mix of both and ideally also mixes them. So I want to roll the dice when appropriate, but I'm a bit tired of hearing 'I roll to attack' and a simple 'you hit'. Why not make it 'I bring my sword to bear against the owlbear, parry it's right claw swiping for me while side-stepping and try to cut it across it's leg in retaliation'? This gives the GM much more to play without without having to wrack their brain how to make it an exciting moment for everyone. Same goes for RP: You can try to hide the need to roll something to see, whether you succeed or not, by describing it creatively. I could say 'I want to roll Diplomacy to convince the lizardman warrior, that we come in peace' or I could say 'Putting on an open, peaceful body language, showing he is not armed, <character name> speaks clearly and softly in a diplomatic tone "We mean no harm. Just want to talk."' To me RP and rules are not two separate sides of a medallion - they can work beautifully hand in hand to weave a story within a fair ruleset, that gives everyone equal chances. Hence I also play the character idea and role within the party. I don't min-max, I work to represent the character idea both in RP and in the build. What's the character idea of a stoic and stalwart defender worth, if it isn't backed up by a build optimized towards taking the brunt of the enemies attacks? How can I play a hot-shot pilot, if his confident and assured stance isn't backed up by great skill with piloting and tendancy towards pulling stunts and a few aces up his sleeves? Experience I've started out with one of the more complex games to play 26 years ago: Shadowrun. Very crunchy, figuring out rolls was an effort and more often than not forgoing too complex rules for the rule of cool. From there I moved on to a myriad of systems - both mainstream and not. To name a few: Legend of the Five Rings, King Arthur Pendragon, D&D 5E (2014), Stafinder 1E, Stars Without Number, Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K FFG (Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and Only War), Star Wars Edge of the Empire, The Dark Eye (DSA), A Song of Ice and Fire RPG, Pathfinder 2E and a quick dip into Fallout 2d20, as well as maybe some I can't even remember from the get-go right now. I've been on both sides of the table in those years, being both a GM and a player on- and offline. But I moved on from GMing for the most part, as I just don't have the capacity for additional responsibility in my life right now, besides showing up in time and having a good time with some fellow enjoyers of cooperative rules-based storytelling ;) Bio Let's start with the basic facts: 39 years old male (he/him) from Germany. Near-native level of fluency in both written and spoken English due to early exposure to English at around age 4 to 5 and being active in the daily usage of English thanks to the internet. Also means my spoken English is pretty much accent free, though definitely leaning towards American English, not British English. I am your archetypical nerd and proud of it: I love all things Sci-Fi and Fantasy, video games, movies, series and anime, books, actual science and technology and especially computers, which also explains my chosen career in the IT sector. I also stream as a hobby, though that is currently on a hiatus due to work, hoping this will calm down some time in the coming months, so I also can get back to it.

Hello all, I am an experienced GM that have been running and playing many types of ttrpgs since the early 80's. I have been running games online for sometime now and am comfortable using several VTTs as well as Discord. I prefer to GM over being a player and have ran a variety of ttrpg systems on- and off- line. When it comes to gaiming, I can be relied on to make the schedule regularly, barring health and some holidays. While I love all sorts of gaming styles, my preferred gaming includes a mix of strong roleplaying and combat. I really enjoy getting into character and experiencing others do the same. I live in the Pacific Time Zone and usually am avaliable during the week for gaming at 4pm or later, Sundays is special as I have a more open schedule from 8 am to midnight. 35 NB dnd player for discord group Hi there! My current group seems to be falling apart and I'd like to have a different group I can count on to play. Obviously sometimes things come up or people get sick, but I would like a group that cares as much and tries as much as I do to keep playing together. I love making stories together with friends and having silly fun with our ridiculous characters. I have currently mostly only been a player, but I had been working on a campaign for myself to DM, with said group. Did session 0s and things, world built etc, but that might have to change due to things that happened in our group. I also recently had an idea for a space jammer campaign. I've dabbled in different classes and general types of characters, some of which I have used inspiration from character from shows and video games I enjoy for reference. My first DND character and the one I've played the most is Phoenix, a fire genasi, way of the dragon monk with an aberrant dragon mark. (Her vibe was a bit of Bakugo and Mirko from My Hero Academia, and also the jaded outlook on life of Astarion with the protectiveness of Karlach from BG3). There were others in between but my current one is Xiào Lián who is a modified/customized/homebrewed Oath of the ancients paladin. The customization was very plot relevant and basically, he is an eladrin elf and I wanted him to have seasonally specific spells and stuff and there is other lore reasons why he can't control his seasons and stuff. I wanted to play a martial class that had more elemental stuff going on and Oath of the Ancients was the closest so I went from there. His sources of inspiration, and quick reference for character vibes are Xin Zhao from League of Legends, Hua Cheng and Xiè Lián from Heaven Official's blessing. He is very honorable, protective, compassionate and a family man. Haha (Also if anyone is curious about that build, I planned it out on Excel from level 4 to level 20) I am also familiar with Pathfinder and MAGE if any people here like those game modes as well. All this to say, I am open to DM-ing for those patient enough to want to play with a noob DM (we can as a group discuss what kind of game we want) and of course open to being a player in a campaign. I can maneuver my work schedule to accommodate others' availability. I'm hoping to find a group who wants to commit to a weekly game. If something comes up that has to happen that day, I'd like everyone in the group to care enough to want to try to plan a different time that week to play (but if there isn't a time that week, thats fine). This is sounding pretty depressing but I truly would love to find/make a new group that is passionate about the worlds we can create in dnd and building them with other people to the point we look forward to spending time together playing the game every week and if we hang out outside of the game, we make dnd jokes to each other about our characters and other silly things, or talk about how we are still reeling from the horrifying thing that happened at the last session. Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

I go by Elf. Any/All pronouns.I started playing tabletops back in 2017. First 5E, then Pathfinder, and now Daggerheart is my go-to game. I've been playing since the beta in 2024, I enjoy how the system encourages creativity from the GM and the players, how you can add "flavor" to the games spells, weapons, etc. I could go on and on about why I love this game, but I have a profile to write. I'm also a roleplayer and a writer. I often roleplay with friends over Discord, and have wrote a few stories, though most of them are sitting on my desktop. I like coming up with fun characters. Some take inspiration from The Elder Scrolls or RWBY or ZZZ. One of my recent characters was inspired by Fate. Never watched, but I liked the design/concept. I tend to get ideas that sometimes explode out of me. Next thing you know, I'm openining up a character sheet. So hours. A weekly game would be ideal. I'm kind of a night owl. My time zone is EST. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, I'm available for games from 6 PM to 6 AM the next day. Wednesdays, I'm available from 1 AM (technically Thursday, but you get the idea) to 6 AM. Friday and Saturday, I'm available from 8 PM to 6 AM. Sunday is usually my busy day. Sometimes this changes, but not enough to where I can commit to a Sunday game. For late night games, I can always get some caffeine in me to keep myself awake. I've done so before. It shouldn't be a problem if we're only playing once or twice a week. One last thing to mention: I sometimes use a voice changer for roleplaying purposes to sound a certain way when speaking as my character. As mentioned above, I love roleplaying and sometimes get really into it. This is comepletly optional, however, and I don't need it if it'll be too distracting. I can turn it on and off with a press of a key. So that's it. I look forward to hearing from you.

About myself: I go by Halkan, and I'm a 32 yr old Black queer person looking for a campaign to join; I'm open to all settings, and the only content I won't tolerate in a campaign is anything condoning sexual violence or genocide of any kind. I've been learning to play since around 2016, and have played several campaigns in the past. I also do light homebrews, sprinkling in ancestral cultures as part of my character's gear and mannerisms. I recently started cosplaying and doing skits as my character, but I don't use campaign antics as inspiration unless the rest of the group is okay with it. About my character: I play a high elf bard with the sage background; I don't do the whole "horny bard" thing because it's overplayed to the point of being annoying, and flavour them for both combat and support, depending on what the party needs. Their backstory is that they studied in a spy academy in their bronze elf city, though their passion has always been art and history. They left on the eve of their centennial birthday to learn about the rest of the world through the songs and stories of the bards the world over, delving into ruins to find the truth behind the legends. They mainly travel on horseback, carrying a shotel (curved shortsword of the Oromo people) and dagger. If starting with max gold rather than adventuring gear, they'll have a shortsword and dagger as their main weapon, studded leather armour, a lute, an entertainer's pack, a draft horse with a riding saddle packed with a hunting trap and fishing gear, and 2 gold pieces left over; if starting with adventuring gear, as much as possible will be swapped out to get as close to their preferred loadout as possible.

Some players bring a character sheet; I bring a living, breathing entity to the table. I’m Daniel, and I’m looking for a highly immersive, narrative-driven campaign where the veil between stats and story is thin. I am currently eager to bring a specific concept to a living world: Silvax, a shadow-focused druid walking the path of a fully fleshed-out, custom-built subclass called the "Circle of the Umbra." Accompanied by his raven familiar, Krow, the build blends stealth, necrotic themes, and deep roleplay to explore the space between the light and the dark. For me, characters are independent organisms with their own flaws, traits, and free will. I believe roleplay shouldn't stop when initiative is rolled. Whether we are orchestrating covert, shadow-ops style maneuvers or locked in methodical, turn-by-turn combat, I stay deeply immersed with full dialogue. Hi, I'm TB! (27, he/him) I'm a student teacher from Denmark. I love a bunch of stuff, like history, acting, biking and gaming. But most importantly for this site, I love ttrpgs. In my heart there are two wolves: one's a gamer and the other's a storyteller. I love nerding out about combat, finding satisfying combos and optimizing character sheets. I also love when the story takes precedent, and shaping a serious story together with friends over several years is one of the deeper joys I've experienced so far. I haven't really found a great balance between the two in Dungeons and Dragons yet. I feel like a DnD game benefits from choosing to be either combat- or story-focused. Both are great fun, but I somewhat prefer when the story takes center. As a player, I'm thoughtful and creative, and I very much like sharing the spotlight. I am kind of introverted around other people, and English is my third language, so I might be a bit quiet at the beginning until I warm up to a group. iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 33, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite an hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing and brainstorming with the others.

I was introduced to roleplay when I played World of Warcraft as a teenager. I considered running PotA (Princes of the Apocalypse), but the lore and narration didn’t really hook me. I never seriously considered RoT (Rise of Tiamat), but I might give it some thought. Right now, I’m definitely thinking about DMing LMoP (Lost Mine of Phandelver). I’m a very eccentric and lively person, full of energy and always willing to communicate with others. I’m using different groups and platforms to improve my English, both in comprehension and conversation. I always focus on having fun rather than being overly strict about rules, if everyone is having fun, then I believe the main goal of the game has been achieved. My time zone is BRT, usually 4 hours ahead of PST. I’m more available to join campaigns on Saturdays (in fact, it’s the only day I can consistently dedicate to a long-term campaign). What I like most about D&D (or roleplaying in general) is the lore you can build, the scenarios you can create, and the organic consequences of each character’s actions. I believe coherence is more important than “God Mode,” "Mary Sue characters", or anything like that. If I’m about to die, then so be it - if it makes sense, I’d honestly be more bothered if my character didn’t die. So, in one word, what I value most in a good session is: coherence. Playstyle: Anything from casual to hardcore. I'm not bothered by player death. I enjoy the RP session with no combat as much as the combat sessions. I love theory crafting and optimization. I have the most fun playing support/controll/disrupter characters. My favourite character of all time was a pacifist wizard who had no damage spells. I get more serotonin from locking down a room of enemies with Hypnotic Pattern than I would from killing every single one of them with a Fireball. Logistics: I have a very free and flexible schedule. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

I have experience playing on Roll 20, DND Beyond's VTT, using discord to chat, and I'm open to any other site/app we'd need. I want to find a group to play with, preferably not GM for, but I am open to multiple GM's to share the weight of a campaign, or I can also GM. Hi! i'm siri, a queer nonbinary girl looking for groups outside of your standard DnD fare. There's so many games out there waiting to be played, and it's hard to convince your RPG group to do that. To fix that, i'm looking for stuff i haven't played before. i'm particularly interested in Shadowdark and other OSR games, right now, and also a cool cyberpunk game (the setting, though i will totally also try Cyberpunk, the RPG). i have a lot of experience playing all kinds of systems, but mostly DnD, Pathfinder 2e, and PbtA games. i have a lot of time on my hands, particularly on weekday mornings (CET). i'm not unwilling to DM, but i really only have experience with prepared campaigns, so far, so i'm still mostly a beginner.

I'm hoping to find a roleplay-focused campaign with a group who is invested in long term character arcs and in each other's backstories. Hello! Im Maple (She/Her), Ive been Playing TTRPGs for over a decade now, Ive found myself time and time again in the GM seat; I have an insatiable appetite for world building and game design. I run my games almost solely in my Homebrew Setting thats been in the collaberative works for almost 5 years. Being a Woke™ Transbian, my tables are inclusive and my games often focus on creating change for the better of the everyday people. I appreciate engaged, curious, and artisticly minded players most at my table. I run fast paced and tactically rich combat encounters, often including puzzles and side objectives. Violence isnt usually the default in my games (Roughly 30% of the gametime will be dedicated to combat), but when it is i like it showy and with Narrative-relevant spectacle. When starting new campaigns, i like to have a pair of Session 0's, the first to get a feel for the group and the basic ideas of the world, and the second is for safety tools, house rules, and any unfinished character choices. I then usually follow this up with a pre-campaign one-shot to see how the group gels in play. Im currently looking for 2-3 new players for my online DND 5.5e Homebrew campaign, we play every sunday - at 6 pm GMT though I am typically very flexible with that- so if you reading this feel like another time during the week, dont hesitate to still reach out! My preferred platforms are Discord and Owlbear Rodeo.
