Vampire The Masquerade 5E (2018)

Ülevaade

Vampire: The Masquerade (5th Edition) is published by Renegade Games Studios and was released in 2018. It is a TTRPG-scene classic for vampire-themed games. Set in an alternative, but modern, world, called "World of Darkness". The players will step into the shoes of recently turned vampires, now thrust into the dark underworld of the vampire society. It is a storytelling game focusing on personal and political horror. Description The players, now part of "The Masquerade" have to keep their new identity a secret from the human population, while at the same time engaging with various vampire clans and factions. Managing the new reality, both in terms of new societal norms and requirements, and their vampiric hunger, will set the players on a different "adventure" altogether. System Overview & Key Features
Storyteller System (d10 Dice Pool) The system utilizes the Storyteller engine, which uses pools of ten-sided dice (d10). To resolve actions, the player adds the character's Attribute and Skill scores together to determine the total number of dice rolled. Any die showing a 6 or higher counts as a success. Rolling multiple 10s yields a critical success.
Disciplines Player characters have access to supernatural abilities known as Disciplines. These include categorized powers such as enhanced physical speed, cognitive manipulation, and physical mutation. Activating these abilities frequently requires a "Rouse Check," a dice roll that carries a probability of increasing the character's Hunger level.
Touchstones and Humanity Characters possess a Humanity rating that measures their ethical degradation. To maintain this rating, characters link themselves to "Touchstones," which are specific human non-player characters representing the vampire's surviving mortal values. If a Touchstone is damaged or killed, the player character risks a permanent reduction to their Humanity score.
Blood Potency A statistic called Blood Potency dictates the strength of a vampire's abilities. Higher Blood Potency provides numerical advantages to Discipline rolls and healing rates. However, it also imposes dietary restrictions; characters with high Blood Potency cannot reduce their Hunger by consuming animal blood or preserved human blood, requiring them to feed directly from live humans.

🩸Brussels is the capital of Europe. To the mortals, it’s a surreal maze. To the Camarilla, it’s a gilded cage. The year is 2016. Prince Vermeulen has wiped the court floor clean to make room for a fresh generation of neonates. You arrive in the City with a target on your back, drafted into a game you don’t yet understand. Here, your word carries weight, and your loyalty to the Camarilla is your only shield — for now. Beyond the polished marble of the European Quarter, older factions and darker mysteries are waiting. Every alliance has a price. Every secret is a weapon. Your actions will test your Humanity and shape the City. Your failures will shape your execution. How long will you navigate the corridors of power? Will you rise in the City of Wastrels or vanish from records and memories? Brussels is watching, and Brussels remembers. - Membership starts at 4.99 EUR/month via ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/hiddenson - Character creation and Session 0 are free. - LGBTQ+ and kink friendly.

Hello, We are a group of ttrpg players looking for one or two people to join (one of our members died, one had to step away for work). We are currently running a pathfinder, lancer, and mutants and mastermind game, we are writing a shorter vampire 20th campaign to test roleplay compatibility. Our group mainly focuses on rp, and has a mix of veteran players/dms and some that are newer. We play every Saturday, though we have a number of games that we swap between, and when life comes up we at times just hang out and play video games (we have members in eastern and central time, and play from around 4ish to 9ish Eastern with a food break around 6 that goes for 45-60 minutes). Our group is lgbtqia+ friendly. We use discord, as well as roll20 and other virtual tts at times and our age range is 24-36 currently. If interested please reach out to me on discord at .revachol, or the dm for the vampire game mongoosebaron.

The Night Is Not One City (*The Coast After Dark* and *The Dark of Port Azalea*) **Chronicle Description:** Along the northern Gulf Coast, the night moves through ports, casinos, churches, parade routes, funeral homes, refineries, and black water. From Mobile, Alabama to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, survival is not merely a matter of feeding, it is a matter of access, reputation, and who controls the artery before hunger reaches you. The Dark of Port Azalea explores Mobile, Alabama: a city of masks, haunted history, imported blood, and fragile performance. The Camarilla maintains authority through lineage, salons, and ritualized order while the Anarchs answer with spectacle, nightlife, and defiance. Beneath both lies the same dependency: Mobile cannot sustain its dead alone. The Coast After Dark expands outward into the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a corridor of rival domains including Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Gautier, Pass Christian, and D’Iberville. These cities are bound together beneath the fragile authority of the Council of Twilight, where power is curated through prestation, surveillance, fear, and carefully maintained appearances. Together, both chronicles form a connected Gulf Coast World of Darkness where: •    Blood is economy •    Status is performance •    Hunger is politics •    Reputation travels •    Borders matter •    Every ally is leverage •    Every enemy keeps receipts Whether you are a neonate navigating feeding rights, or a Kindred simply trying to survive the pressure of the system itself, this is a story-driven exploration of ambition, horror, politics, and consequence within the World of Darkness. **Rules:** We use Vampire: the Masquerade (V5) with thematic house rules tailored toward immersive storytelling, political tension, and consequence-driven play. The game balances literate, text-based roleplay with dice mechanics where needed. **Logistics** **Medium:** Play-by-post via Discord. **Time:** Open and asynchronous players engage in scenes at their convenience while contributing to a living, evolving chronicle world. **Players:** Open to all! Whether you are new to V5 and looking for guidance or an experienced player seeking layered political and character-driven horror, there is a place for you along the Gulf. **Applications:** [Step into Mobile.](<https://discord.gg/a8xKbeDS>) [Step onto the Coast.](<https://discord.gg/w29ZXyb8PP>) Staff positions available The night is not one city. It is a coastline. Come prepared to hunt carefully, speak intentionally, balance your debts, and survive the pressure of a world already in motion.

hiddenson
Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'd like to get back into it. I prefer GMing because I enjoy world building and long-term campaigns, delving deeper into the preset worlds to give them my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I like to get the chance to do that as well from time to time. I'm also launching a paid Vampire: The Masquerade 5e soon, so I'm willing to trade seats if our tastes and playstyles match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I have experience in Vampire: The Masquerade, and would love to play it and other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have no experience in Shadowdark or Mothership, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror experience. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors, librarians looking for eldritch tomes, and tomb raiding archaeologists. When I GM, I lean towards Rule of Cool, and I favor players who invest creativity in their characters. Regarding scheduling, I'm available every week (but would prefer every other week) from Thursday to Sunday between 8pm and 2am GMT+2. Hit me up with your best message and let's tempt fate together!

Buff Mimi
Hello there! I'm Buff Mimic, I also enjoy Mimi, I'm 23 years old, MtF trans, and an enjoyer of a variety of TTRPG's though I'm currently on the look out for Vampire the Masquerade 5th Edition and or Daggerheart. I've done so much D&D and d20 esque systems that I've been yearning to play with some other dice systems.  About Me I've played TTRPG's as a whole for about 11 years now, nearing 12, and I got into it with D&D 5e. Pathfinder 1e definitely has most of my experience past that, especially the Final Fantasy supplement of it, but I've also experienced Fabula Ultima, Legends in the Mist, Scion, ROOT, and of course VTM. Though VTM 5e is still new to me and I'm really looking to explore it further. I really love playing characters who have stronger personalities. Confident, smug, a bit teasing all around. I try to make them a bit more of the sweet sort, but I do enjoy leaning into a bit more of a brutish side when time allows. One can blame my love of Barbarian for it I am sure. That said being a brute doesn't mean I don't enjoy someone charismatic, and I often like to get deep into roleplay or character creation to give that personality something unique and fun about them. Outside of TTRPG's I have some favorite games in Final Fantasy 14, Monster Hunter World, Nuclear Throne, Celeste, and Rabbit & Steel. I like the games that can make my adrenaline spike... or allow me some fun to customize and be a lil bit of a fashionista with my character as I do enjoy making them look pretty. When it comes to games themselves I'm not really afraid of any real topics. I don't chomp at the bit for horrible things to happen, but if something makes sense to happen narratively I'd rather it happen so I can properly react to the horror that is put in front of me and give some real honest reactions so I can really emulate how my character would feel. I'll play pretty much anything however. I just have a preferance for wanting to learn some new things.

33M, EST time zone I enjoy engaging with themes of "no good guys", moderate to extreme horror and flawed but earnest characters. I love roleplaying and usually build sheets to reflect a character concept or personality instead of optimized stats. I'm not interested in NSFW roleplay but I will engage with NSFW themes if they fit the game setting. I'm happy to tailor my character concepts and degree of gory detail to whatever the rest of the table is comfortable with. Most of my roleplay experience has been text based or play by post, but I've also played and helped run several campaigns both online and in person that lasted anywhere from months to 2+ years. I have a learning disability that makes math and learning new rulesets difficult (dyscalculia) but I do my best to compensate for it through cheat sheets and reference cards I make for myself. It's a me problem but a little patience while I learn is greatly appreciated. World of Darkness is the setting I have the most experience with, particularly Mage20, Vampire20, and the By Night Studios LARP system. I have a general understanding of WH40K and have read some of the ttrpg sourcebooks but my play experience is limited to some of the video games and a few novels (Rogue Trader, Darktide, Mechanicus, the Night Lords trilogy, Infinite and the Divine). I am tentatively open to systems not specifically tagged but would prefer to avoid DnD (any edition), Daggerheart, Fate, and Apocalypse World/PbtA. Other non-ttrpg favorites include Destiny/Destiny 2, Mistborn, splatterpunk fiction, the Cthulhu mythos, and Murderbot Diaries. I am generally available between 5 to 10pm American EST on Mondays and Wednesday-Friday but there is some variability on Fridays, as I run my own game on that day once or twice a month.

Hail Adventurer well met! Stockholm D&D is an 18+ community arranging recurring D&D sessions at one of the friendly local gaming stores in Stockholm. We have been arranging sessions in a persistent shared universe using D&D 5e since 2019. We are transitioning to D&D 5.5e in 2026. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran, players and Dungeon Masters are welcome to join “The Guild” and adventure across the worlds of D&D. The thread that ties all the characters together is “The Guild”, a trans-planar organisation offering the service of adventuring parties to those in need. “The Guild” allows player characters from any plane to team up and do the good work of “The Guild” in whatever world the Dungeon Master wishes to run the adventure in. Play begins at level 3 with each session played earning you half a level, meaning you'll level up every other session. We administer our events, sessions and characters through a Discord server where detailed rules about supported sources for character creation etc. are presented. Links facebook.com - Facebook page

Audio & Music

Syrinscape is a revolutionary sound design application created by Benjamin Loomes and the team at Syrinscape Pty Ltd. Unlike simple music players, it uses a sophisticated algorithmic engine to create dynamic, non repeating soundscapes that react to the events of a tabletop game. It is the official audio partner for major brands like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu, offering hundreds of professionally produced "SoundSets" that provide everything from cinematic orchestral scores to specific monster growls and spell effects. Description Syrinscape is built on the philosophy that "Epic Games Need Epic Sound." It provides Game Masters with a powerful digital soundboard where every element of an environment is independently controlled. Instead of playing a single audio loop, the app randomly triggers individual sounds—like a distant wolf howl, a creaking door, or a tavern patron’s laugh—to create a living, breathing atmosphere. It is available as a downloadable app for offline play or as a high performance Web Player for remote sessions. System Overview & Key Features The Dynamic Audio Engine The core of Syrinscape is its ability to randomize sound samples in time and 3D space. This ensures that a "forest" soundscape never sounds exactly the same twice, preventing the listener fatigue that often comes from short, repetitive audio loops found in standard music players. One Shot Sound Effects Beyond ambient music, the app features dedicated buttons for instant sound effects. A GM can trigger a fireball explosion, a dragon screech, or a critical hit stinger at the exact moment a player rolls the dice, adding a cinematic punctuation to the narrative. Official Adventure SoundSets Syrinscape produces bespoke audio for official RPG modules. When running a major campaign like Curse of Strahd or Abomination Vaults, GMs can access SoundSets designed specifically for every room and encounter in the book, including character voices and unique environmental cues. The Web Player and Online Player For remote play, the Web Player allows players to hear the GM's audio in perfect sync through their own browsers without needing an account. It is highly optimized for low latency and high quality, making it a perfect companion for Discord based games. SoundSet Creator Advanced users with a SuperSyrin subscription can access the SoundSet Creator tool. This allows you to upload your own music and samples, mix them with existing Syrinscape elements, and build completely custom environments tailored to your specific campaign world. VTT Integration Syrinscape features deep integration with platforms like Fantasy Grounds and Foundry VTT. This allows the software to trigger specific sounds automatically based on in game events, such as a character taking damage or a trap being sprung.
