Daggerheart (2025)

Ülevaade

Daggerheart is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game published by Darrington Press, an imprint of Critical Role Productions. The game was released in 2025.

Description

Daggerheart is a story-docused role-playing game system, where the rules direct players to think narratively and not just mechanically. The game uses a system called Duality Dice, where players roll two twelve-sided dice. One for Hope and one for Fear. In addition to determining whether the character achieves success or fails at the action they are trying to perform, it also generates a helpful Hope resource for the player, or a challenging Fear resource for the game master (GM). Lead designer Spenser Starke explained that there is "also no initiative in Daggerheart". It functions very much like a
Forged in the Dark https://groupfinder.eu/library/forged-in-the-dark-2017
or a
Powered By The Apocalypse
game, where the GM is making moves on certain dice rolls and we're passing play back and forth as a conversation. It all flows together in a way that supports the storytelling-first direction that Critical Role has really embraced over the last decade". The game features 279 supplemental cards to track player abilities and characteristics. Darrington Press also launched several digital resources, including an online custom card creator.

Täiskasvanud Täiskasvanud
Hi there. I’m based in the UK and potentially wanting to get a game started in either Daggerheart or DnD 5E (2014) to take place on Saturday evenings. Currently, I can’t lock in the exact schedule, but I’m thinking of it being for two consecutive Saturdays, followed by two Saturdays off each month. The time would likely be around 6-10PM UK time. A big part of this is me wanting to expand my social circle and to make some good friendships that aren’t just limited to time spent in TTRPGs. For the game itself, I’m leaning towards Daggerheart as something a bit more Rule of Cool-oriented, but this would be my first time with it. If people are good with that, and either new to the system themselves or patient for me to get fully to grips with running it, then we’ll lock that in. I’m very experienced with 5e 2014, but want to expand my repertoire a bit. The setting is a big mix of genres, but primarily Wild West with a lot of spooky and fantastical weirdness. I’d describe it as Weird West/ Gothic/ Horror/ Jazz Age/ Fantasy in a homebrew world. Characters may do things like uncover eldritch cults in the bayou, go on the trail of monsters out in the forests, and duel with undead gunslingers and the like. There are currently no big overarching plans such as a BBEG or end-goal, and I see the campaign being more about having fairly separate arcs and chapters that will have some links to each other, but that could all change based on player input. I want the players to tell me what sort of goals they want their characters to accomplish in the world. Although the setting doesn’t take itself too seriously, I want characters to be capable of being serious as well as being fun. Currently, I’d like the campaign to go for a few months, maybe about a year (which should take players from levels 1 to 10). What I’m looking for: - Enthusiastic and collaborative players, both with the party but also myself, letting me know what next big thing they want to do so I can properly put things in place to make it the best I can - Players interested in RP and creating a great story together where everyone has their moments to shine. I’m not looking for players who want to powergame or murderhobo, especially as the campaign would be broadly good-aligned - Players interested in the worldbuilding side of the hobby. I’m currently focusing on fleshing out the setting more than a grand overarching story, but I’d really like players to contribute to the setting - Reliable scheduling. I’m happy to occasionally run games with a couple of players missing, but mostly I’d like the whole party Once people are locked in to the campaign, we will have a proper session zero and go over safety tools. To clarify, there is no cost associated with this game. What you’ll need: Discord Mic and speakers for communication Roll 20 A Demiplane account (needed for Daggerheart)

the wondering riders of the in bewtween

Hello riders the names Soldier. I'm running a daggerheart campaign base on tokusatsue more around Kamen Rider with a hint of Sentai/powerrangers. The main focus of the story takes place in the world of Arasinda a world in the middle of some universes allowing them to connect with one another. Its thanks to Arasinda that these struggling universes were able to help one another to thrive. A casually traveling the multiverse to solve clues that couldn't be answered on Arasinda. Plot Once upon a time a good portion of the multiverse struggling to support themselves. Than from a mysterious chance Arasinda appeared allowing these struggling universes to help sustain each other. A organization was created to keep these universes have good terms and help when need they became known as MEIW ( Miniversal, E(i)nvolvement, Institution, Welfare). Now years later a unknown threat has appeared that threatens Arasinda. Their face never seen and followers across Arasinda and some through the multiverse. Now its up to the kamen riders to uncover this mystery and put a stop to their plan. Charter creating Creating a charter follows the usual charter creating rules of daggerheart with picking a universe your charter comes from so far there are 2 party members 1.Cyrus Helio- a college student at a university in Arasinda he is from a universe base on kamen rider ooos 2. Zeta- a amazon from a universe base on kamen rider Amazons(2016) If you haven't watch any kamen rider but feel interested to try this campaign i will be happy to explain each universe to the best of my knowledge Mechanics Finisher meter- along with the hope meter there will be a finisher meter you can charge with finishers are a stable in toku so having a meter to fill it would be fun while gaining a hope you have the choose of puting it in your hope meter of your finisher meter while you can hold 6 hope it be the same with this meter there will be other mechanics but those usally varey from player to player on what rider they pick Requirements My only requirements for this campaign is that be respectful to the other players and GM(myself) be at least 16 or older enjoy your time

Forever GM here looking to become a player. I would like to play a game that is roleplay and combat focused. I prefer mysteries and dark tones, so an Age of Umbra Daggerheart, Alien or Vaesen game works for me. Brindlewood Bay also hits my liking (it is not an option on the list). I have a lot of experience with Daggerheart if you need someone to also bounce ideas off of. Intermiediate experience with Vaesen and only played the Starter Set of Alien. I would love to try Brindlewood Bay (or any other mystery/detective system). Sunday, Tuesdays and Wendesdays are out of the question as they are my days that are always full, but I have flexible days other days. I am a travel photographer who has turned to a corporate portrait photographer. I love telling stories of people and places. I like taking that story telling to my table.

A 26 year old from the United Kingdom, and as such, i wish to only join games that are near that timezone (So european games only) I am not gonna do a lengthy intro like i was writing before, i will give you some quick notes about me Likes:  - Videogames, Anime, Youtube (Average chronically online people things) - Animals (My number 1 is the red panda, and basically everything in the Musteloidea family)  TTRPGs: - I have experience in both PF2e and D&D5e (2014 rules havent done the new ones yet).  - I am comfortable learning new systems - I prefer the roleplay, exploration and discovering aspects, combat is fine but I HATE when it drags on. - I also do not like sci-fi/mecha stuff, only high fantasy sort of settings for me. Okay thats all, thanks for reading.

Library submission guidebook

What can I submit to the library? What does it cost me? How to stand out among all the other entries? Feature your project Submitting your project My project is already on the platform, can I change it? If you are a creator in the tabletop gaming space, then the Library is the perfect place to showcase what you have created. Whether you are part of a bigger team, or even a solo-creator, all projects are more than welcome to introduce themselves.  What can I submit to the library? Nearly anything and everything, as long as it is related to the tabletop gaming hobby space is welcome. Game systems If you have a tabletop game system that is missing from the library - we would love to learn more about it and introduce it to other players. Tools & Platforms Have you created a new generator of some kind? A map builder? Encounter calculator? Loot creator, tool for managing your worldbuilding? Or something else? Perfect place to showcase your creation. Youtube and Twitch channels If you are a video creator or a streamer and your channel is about tabletop gaming - then this is the place where to introduce yourself and find new followers. Blogs Do you have blog where you cover tabletop games, news or just write about the hobby itself? Perfect, we'd love to help spread the word Podcasts Whether you topic is a specific tabletop system, is a more general discussion of the field, or an actual play game - this is where you can gather more listeners. Regardless of the game system your podcast uses, as long as it is tabletop-gaming related. Artist Whether you create maps, character artwork or general illustrations for the tabletop gamers and projects. Show off your work and find those who could commission you. Communities Either you have created a local community for tabletop enthusiasts, or are a digital hub, like a Discord community - this is where you can recruit new members. Events Are you hosting a local event or convention? Tell the community about it and reach people who might be looking to attend. If your project does not fall in the categories listed above, do feel free to get in touch with us, we might find a suitable category (or create one) for your specific thing. What does it cost me? We are not paywalling anyone or anything, no matter how big (or non-existent) your budget is. Spreading the word and submitting to the library is free. Whether your creation costs money to use or is free to access, the library is the place for your project. Neither does it cost anyone anything to browse the library. How to stand out among all the other entries? As the library grows, so do the amount of other projects, but worthwhile and useful submissions deserve to be discovered. The best way to ensure that your project stands out, is to gather recommendations.  /images/general-media/1774004489_HpUsMncM.pngThink of recommendations as endorsements, likes, upvotes or anything else in the similar manner. By default the listings are ordered by the number of recommendations each project has. Every user on the platform can recommend your product and increase it's visibility. It also displays trust and usefulness among the community members. Spread your library page and have your devoted fans recommend your project. You can grab our Groupfinder Library badge set and display it on your website to direct users to your entry page. Download the assets /images/general-media/1774700596_OhgxSrZ3.png Feature your project You can also help support Groupfinder by getting it featured. That will move it to the top of the listings and will make sure that your project is going to get noticed. This is a paid feature, which helps us maintain and keep the entire platform up and running. If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to reach out to us (via library@groupfinder.eu) and we can discuss it further. Featured projects will also have the opportunity to decorate their library entry page even more. Adding additional banners for an upcoming or running crowdfunding campaign, specific limited-time deals or anything else. Submitting your project To submit your project to the library, we will need the following: A static cover image for the project (800x450px in size. Use this layout guide to get the best result) An appropriate description/text (written preferably in a third-person format). The longer and more in-depth, the better. Up to two images of the project, either screenshots of the project itself or illustrations to go alongside the text. Articles and/or Youtube videos that are best suited to be displayed on the entry page. (up to 6 in total). Any links that might also be relevant to the project. If you are an artist, be sure to include a method for contacting you (e-mail address). Send your submissions to us via library@groupfinder.eu We reserve the right to accept or decline submissions we see as not suitable for the library for various reasons. My project is already on the platform, can I change it? If you find your project already on the platform, then either we have discovered it ourselves and decided to add it, or it has been suggested to us by someone else. If you would like to add or change something in the entry, reach out to us and we would love to work with you
