Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

🎲 TTRPG Player Looking for Table (Online or Lexington, KY) Hey! I’m Vee, a 34-year-old trans woman and an avid TTRPG player with a strong love for Dungeons & Dragons and story-rich tabletop games. iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

I like roleplay heavy games, but having a fight is also good. I tend to homebrew stuff, because any game engine is just an invitation for creativity. Usually play sneaky-snoopy characters, chaos goblins and/or demons like Tyranny (my favorite!).

Because the most recent one ended some time ago, I'm looking for a new table to join. I have a preference for vanilla 5e (2014) rulesets but I don't mind homebrew rules as long as they aren't too much of a hassle to learn. As for settings, official or homebrew is fine as well (so long as it doesn't purposefully remove races for no good reason). I like campaigns that focus on plotlines that involve the characters' backstories and roleplaying, with a preference for high fantasy or medieval fantasy worlds. As for availability, I am currently free pretty much everyday though it may change after the summer but I'll let you know when it happens. Hello, I've been playing D&D and other TTRPGs for about 20 years starting with D&D 3.5e. I played 4e for a few years and then played 5th Edition when it released and have played it many times since. I worked at a D&D summer camp for 4 years as a councelor and GM for kids ages 8-13 playing 3.5e for the first year and 5e for the last 3. I have also run many one shots and short adventures for my friends. Because of a combination of getting bored of the system and not liking the business practices of Hasbro and Wizards I stopped playing D&D 5e last year and I'm looking to learn some new systems. I've run a couple one shots in Cyberpunk Red and Tenra Bansho Zero and ran a short campaing for my friends in a homebrew system of my own loosely based on the webseries Epithet Erased, but other than that have been a D&D forever GM for most of my life. I'm a new player and trying to get into dnd

I'm an 40+ gamer from southern Germany looking to get into D&D without any hard limitations. Schedule: Preferably 2-weekly Sat/Sun after 14:00 (2pm) Berlin time zone, Or weekdays after 18:00 (6pm). Experience: My first experience with D&D was from PC gaming of Neverwinter Nights and Baldurs Gate 2 (and nowadays BG3). I like building and testing characters, but did not get to enjoy any real pnp yet. I would like to get into roleplaying but also like to see combat and make fun and crazy combos with my Team. I love the Paladin and Rogue class and usually like to multiclass my character. Other games: I'm also playing BattleTech (since '98) and "Aliens: another glorious day in the corp" with some friends from time to time and will also play Cyberpunk2077 and Helldivers boardgames, once released. These are more combat focused , so i would see d&d primarily for roleplaying.

I have a myriad of characters, some a little more homebrew than others, and prefer storytelling focused games with intensive worldbuilding. Characters: Chara: Half-Bronze dragon sorceress Kerian Kane: Half Elf warrior/paladin (has a bit of a homebrew mechanic) Thadeus "Pony" Goodman: Centaur ranger Rowd: Hound Archon paladin Maggs Madds: Faun bard Koimarra: Sphinx rogue, no magical abilities. (I've toned down the default sphinx stats to make her a fair challenge. She is essentially a cat shaped human who doesn't want to fly during combat because that makes you a big target and calls attention to you. She prefers not existing.)

Hello! My name is Jay, and I am an 18y/o student looking for DMs/GMs running new one-shots/full campaigns who might have me as a player at their (online or in-person) table! I have been interested in and reading up on D&D (specifically 5E and 5.5E) for about two-and-a-half years now, but have never been able to play an actual game with a group, so I am a beginner. But, I am also a fast-learner who can pick up on your playing style (and homebrew rules/mechanics, if you're using any) quickly. I can play in both online campaigns and at IRL tables (I am located in the southern Bay Area, CA, near Gilroy). My schedule, both online and in-person, is extremely flexible, and I am willing to play during odd hours when playing in online campaigns (for example, early morning or the middle of the night), and I am totally down with online international games with players/DMs/GMs located in different countries/continents. I can use and adapt to whatever platform the DM/GM prefers to use to host games. I love detailed note-taking and would love to take on that responsibility at your table. My favorite main class to play is Paladin (I have a male, Lawful-Good archetype, Oath of Devotion Paladin who I have been dying to roleplay as in a game, but I also have a few other characters/character ideas and am totally willing to change his lore/character for the theme of your campaign or create a whole new one for it). I am both roleplay and combat oriented and will be entirely happy focusing more on the worldbuilding/RP or grinding with your table in more dungeon-crawler-like gameplay. However, I do prefer games with a balance of both. Some of my all-time favorite high fantasy medias are (video games:) The Elder Scross series (particularly Skyrim, but my second and third favorites are Morrowind and Oblivion, including its remaster), Elden Ring, Dark Souls I, II, & III, Baldur's Gate I, II, and III, (books/movies:) The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings, and The Legend of Drizzt (I am on book two of The Icewind Dale trilogy and have read The Dark Elf trilogy). I write a lot of fantasy-based stories in my spare time, and have been honing in my storytelling skills for a handful of years now. I love knights and medieval-based fantasy, but easily fall in love with all sorts of stories and worlds. I love both light and fun RP and the dark, gritty stuff. I get along with a variety of players/people and am eager to make friends in the D&D community/possibly find a campaign/one-shot to play in. I hope you consider me for your table!

Besides watching Dimension 20 and Critical Role I really enjoy reading fantasy books (especially by BIPOC authors) and watching Asian dramas.

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

My actual experience in campaigns are limited to about three? Two DnD campaigns, and one from Lancer, but god knows I need to be in more. My schedule is a rather funky one. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off and prefer to play games that take place in the mornings for me. I am a 23 year old male British player who is tired of forever DM'ing with an unreliable group and am seeking a group to play with (preferably British but don't mind otherwise), I like to play Artificer - Artillerist as well as Warlock - Hexblade, I do not require a gun to have fun but an Artificer with a gun will always be cool but a hand crossbow is just as effective, I have DM'd extensively over the last few years both 5E and 5.5E so have a lot of experience with the system, I also use real dice and use DND Beyond for character sheets however can use whatever you wish instead if it is required, I also prefer VTTs if online as it makes strategising your turn a lot easier

Hi, I've been wanting to try DnD but have not gotten a chance to in the past despite attempts. But it is still something I've wanted to try out if given the opportunity. My understanding of DnD mechanics is limited, with only experience of them from lite or small implementations of it in gaming or from videos and shorts. I also don't have much experience in roleplay apart from silly moments with friends during gaming sessions. My available schedule is pretty consistent. Using EDT/EST, Tuesdays and Thursdays I always have off, Wednesday I always work, and Mon/Fri & Sat/Sun I rotate on work like bi-week. Anyways, I hope to enjoy the wonders and pain of DnD though if given the chance.

Yahoo, I'm Yu (he/them/it). I've played for years but forgot much after a long hiatus so I'm relearning. I've played in a few games recently and I currently dm a homebrewed campaign. I love roleplay, especially plot that allows character arcs and deep character interaction. I prefer play by post and online but I'm open to vc, I'm just chronically anxious and bad at acting. I adore romance and all of my characters are queer. I prefer playing male characters and I am a huge advocate for flavoring and creativity (as well as romantic plotlines for my characters). I'm okay with any genre, so long as it *does* allow for good character arcs. I'm chill with any topic as long as it's not meant to be directly harmful. I've only ever played dnd but I'm open to learning other systems. Due to being employed and other events, I am unavailable Sunday and Friday nights, so I'm available Saturday and weekdays. The earliest I can start is 7:30 pm EST on any day and the latest I can play is whenever the session happens to end, preferably 12am - 1am EST.
