hello! i'm xias. im a grad student in estonia i've played dnd before a few years ago but, i dont remember the specifics which is why i feel like my level is still on the beginner level. i do catch onto systems relatively quick but, i do struggle with the maths a bit in dnd haha. i've got experience with morkborg and don't mind trying more of the borgs honestly, i had fun! i've played cyberpunk:red for a bit, which is always a nice time. the game i have the most experience with is vtm but, i've played a homebrewed combined version of v20 and v3/revised haha. im willing to try out new systems though, just looking to get into playing again since i haven't in a while :) since i've gotten a few dms abt it, i am only willing to pay for games if they are in person haha. thanks!

I'm Nick, I'm a 32yo male/AMAB non-binary person, with a few years of experience playing D&D 3.5, D&D 5.0, and CoC 7th. I'm a little burnt out on those (mostly D&D/high fantasy) so I'd prefer to play a different system, but I'm not against those systems if the campaign is appealing enough. I'm open-minded, intelligent, and a quick learner so picking up new systems is pretty easy for me. The systems that appeal to me the most right now are Mutants & Masterminds, Cyberpunk, Mothership, Kult, Unknown Armies, any World/Chronicles of Darkness system, or any obscure or homebrew horror system (any setting with heavy horror). My ideal group would consist of people around my age but I'll play with anyone 18+. I'm friendly and get along with pretty much everyone, and have thick skin so I don't mind banter, darker themes, or adult content. LGBTQIA+ friendly (obviously lol), female friendly, POC friendly. I'm also not going to get too antsy if we get a little derailed from play sometimes, especially with goofier groups, but I love serious play just as much. Currently looking to play weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday, during evenings/nights. Saturdays are undesirable at the moment but if I really love the campaign idea I can make the time for it. I can't play Tuesday afternoons and both Wednesday and Sunday are off limits at the moment. Long term campaigns are ideal. I'm a pretty dedicated player, I rarely miss sessions. Any VTT is fine (I love Foundry), theater of the mind is also fine. I'm not a big fan of Roll20 but I'll use it if I have to lol. I have and use Discord regularly. I also would pefer not to be on cam, but I do have a webcam. However I do not want to be recorded and posted on the public internet so skip me if you're running on a stream, youtube recording, podcast, etc. Recordings for private note-taking purposes are okay but do not post them online publicly. I love creating characters (especially flawed characters) so I usually have several character ideas for multiple systems either ready-to-play or brewing, even for systems I've ever played (such as M&M 3e, Unknown Armies, Kult, etc). I'm flexible enough to stick with RAW or go full homebrew, I will always work with the DM to ensure that my character is suitable for their campaign, especially if we dive into heavy homebrew. I generally prefer not to min/max but I'm not against it, I just find flawed characters (mechanical and flavor) to be far more interesting and fun to play. I don't meta game, backseat game, rules lawyer, and I don't have main character syndrome (if anything I'm a little shy of the limelight). I can also handle bad outcomes and character death, I believe that's just part of the storytelling aspect of TTRPGs. I love roleplay, combat, exploration, puzzle solving, pretty much every aspect of TTRPGs so I'm generally comfortable with any ratio. I also sometimes to photo-manipulation/digital collage art, drawn art (digital and traditional), etc for my character, other characters, campaigns, but I'm not very good at it (yet). Usually this is for comedic effect or out of necessity. I also do art and writing outside of TTRPG play. Not interested in play-by-post or paid games, sorry.

I’m an experienced GM, have run multiyear campaigns, and I regularly run games at local conventions. Preferred Systems: Mostly not D&D or similar traditional fantasy games. Recent games include Agon, Unknown Armies, Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, Mothership, Pendragon, Mythic Bastionland, Alien, Blade Runner, Symbaroum, Starforged, Over the Edge, Swords of the Serpentine, and Paranoia. But I generally enjoy learning new systems Preferred Playstyle: Narrative and investigation are my first choice. I like roleplaying heavy games where choices carry weight and the setting matters: occult conspiracy, espionage, horror, gritty sci-fi, mythic adventure. Combat is fine when it’s brief, tense, and consequential rather than a grind. Character death in earned circumstances is fine. I'm open to romance in games if the table is bought in. I don't need a lot of rules but I care about the rules we agree on being consistent and well understood. I enjoy and run both traditional RPGs and GMless story games. Preferred Tone: Serious stakes with room for humor. Warm, character-driven humor or dark humor works for me; contempt-driven or goofy comedy doesn’t. I prefer a grounded game but pulp is fine as long as we're all on the same page. I’m happy to run a one-shot when the regular GM needs a break.

I revel in many layered plots that peel like a bag of onions, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, roleplay heavy, and Rule of Cool. I prefer acting in the first person with people who invest creativity in their characters. At the moment, I'd like to focus on horror games and Cyberpunk. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have extensive experience in Call of Cthulhu in the 1920's as well as in Cyberpunk 2020 so I'll adapt to new editions easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'm eager to try them out. I lean into characters hungry for lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors risking their sanity in eldritch tomes, or tomb raiding archaeologists uncovering more than they bargained for. I have no real preference as to playstyle, but do insist on some level of realism and adherence to the rules in general. I've been a World of Darkness player since the mid-'90s, though I haven't played as much since college and I'd like to change that. Vampire: the Masquerade is my personal favorite, but I like all the classic WoD lines. I also would like to try some other, lesser-known systems, but I have much less familiarity with their rulesets. I'm a roleplayer first, but I do enjoy some combat as well; I can get into most types of stories, though I'm usually not wild about romance. I like anything that really allows a deep, sustained exploration of the setting and its themes, as well as the backstories of all the characters involved. I'd love to find a weekly game, but as long as the schedule is consistent, I can be flexible.

I'm a 40 year old man, and I really enjoy roleplaying and investing in characters. As far as character class and the like goes, I'm flexible. I'm just as happy playing a frontliner, ranged, spellcaster, support, team pet, as long as the character's fun. Otherwise, combat, exploring, dungeon delving, politicking, I enjoy such things being part of games. One thing I do prefer as far as characters go is I tend to gravitate towards less human-looking races. As far as experience goes, I've got about ten years worth of RPing, starting with D&D 5E (2014) and several other systems I've tried over the years on both sides of the DM screen. Looking to spend more time on the player side of things. I'm available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Evenings preferable, but afternoon starts that allow for breaks to eat would be necessary. EST. Preferably ending at 11 PM at the latest.

Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

Hello! I’m a huge D&D nerd looking for a campaign to join. I’ve run multiple campaigns over the past few years, listened to several actual-play campaigns, and played in a few games myself, so I have a decent amount of experience. I still get confused sometimes though 😅 I’m looking for a weekly or bi-weekly group, preferably on Fridays. I’m available any time after 2 PM MST and before 7 PM MST. Sometimes life throws a curveball at me, but I will always let the group know ahead of time if I can’t make a session or if something comes up. I’m neurodivergent and have some learning disabilities, which can occasionally affect gameplay a little. Sometimes I may need something repeated or need a little extra time to read or figure something out, but overall it’s not usually a major issue. I really enjoy roleplay-focused campaigns, even though I’m not great at character voices yet. I enjoy combat too, as long as it isn’t nonstop encounter after encounter after encounter. I’m also completely fine with games where characters can die if it makes sense for the story or situation. I always have way too many character ideas floating around in my head, so I’m happy to make someone new if needed. I've only ever had the chance to play to the end of the first book of Pathfinders Legacy of Fire, so the games I'd love to play from start to finish (in order of most wanted to least for each system) are: Pathfinder 1 - Curse of the Crimson Throne, Return of the Runelords, Kingmaker. I’m perfectly happy with a campaign where the characters are small fish in a big world and have to earn their reputation. As a GM, I prefer rules that stay out of the way and let the players make meaningful decisions. I like dangerous but fair games, practical worldbuilding, memorable NPCs, and adventures that develop naturally from what the players choose to do. I’m primarily looking for in-person gaming and would like to find a regular local group. I’m interested in meeting people who actually want to sit around a table, roll some dice, and play rather than spending the entire session discussing the game. I’m also looking for people who can leave politics, activism, and internet culture-war arguments at the door. I know the basics, but will have questions regarding some nuanced rules. I'm looking for a group that's cool with that and doesn't take things too seriously. I'm really drawn to the storytelling side of D&D. I love getting invested in characters, mysteries, weird worlds, plot twists, darker stories, and seeing where everything goes. I'm a huge horror and sci-fi fan, and generally love anything that's a little strange, creepy, funny, or completely unhinged. I'm also into fantasy, video games, board games, movies and TV! I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to the actual campaign. I'm happy to learn, try different character types, and work with the DM and the rest of the group rather than showing up with some elaborate character that absolutely has to fit into the campaign. I'm also not particularly interested in min/maxing or trying to "win". I mostly want to make a character and see what happens to them. Outside of D&D, I work in fashion/tech and spend a lot of my free time gaming, watching horror movies, going to the movies, checking out bars/restaurants, playing board games, or finding some new show to get obsessed with. I'm open to online or in-person games. For in-person I'm in Manhattan, but I don't mind traveling within NYC. I've been trying to get a campaign going with various friend groups for years to no avail - school, work, kids, life, I'm willing to bet many on this site know the song. Since I lack experience I am pretty much down to try anything, including one-shots ! I have a preference for fantasy settings but can fall in love with any world that has been crafted with care and attention. I like roleplay (though I'm not a great actor by any means), I love storytelling, and I'm hoping to find a nice group I can make great memories with. Though I'm still a beginner, I know what I do not enjoy : completely combat focused gameplay, dungeon crawlers without a compelling narrative drive and extremely rigid players / GMs. I love staying in character and settling into the story's stakes, but I want to be able to make a few above table jokes without earning myself anyone's ire. Playing is supposed to be fun ! I would love to be part of a long-term campaign. My schedule is very flexible so playing with groups in other timezones can absolutely work !
