My name is Pearl (32, He/Them) I am a west coaster (PST) and typically work nights, but will be available for the game on saturdays I'm a writer, gamer, sometimes GM, and love roleplay and storywriting to death and back. And I sometimes take pictures of animals and nature. I am West coast (pst/-8GMT). I'm in that awkward zone between beginner and intermediate experience when it comes to DND 5e/5.5e. I'm fairly experienced with Modiphious' 2d20 system.

I have an absolute ton of time on my hands now and I'd like to step back into TTRPG's! I'd like to find a very old-fashioned group if possible, one a lot more into the story and roleplaying of their characters, blended well with the actual playing of the game. Finding group dynamics are a lot of fun and I enjoy writing a lot about the characters I play, as well as in general. Would love a group that is heavily invested in the adventure and what everyone else's goals are. Wizards and casters are obviously my bread and butter, so I almost always play some form of them. Huge on puzzles, riddles and mysteries, stuff that really makes scholarly-characters tick. I also care a lot about the moment-to-moment interactions and immersion, how magic works and is written means a lot to me. I love adventures of all themes, whether dark, serious or somewhat light-hearted. Availability: Any time really! Am my own boss, so I can flex to whatever! Would love to play at least once a week, and longer hours are always fun. I'm NA East, but I can adjust pretty well early or late.

Hello! I’m a huge D&D nerd looking for a campaign to join. I’ve run multiple campaigns over the past few years, listened to several actual-play campaigns, and played in a few games myself, so I have a decent amount of experience. I still get confused sometimes though 😅 I’m looking for a weekly or bi-weekly group, preferably on Fridays. I’m available any time after 2 PM MST and before 7 PM MST. Sometimes life throws a curveball at me, but I will always let the group know ahead of time if I can’t make a session or if something comes up. I’m neurodivergent and have some learning disabilities, which can occasionally affect gameplay a little. Sometimes I may need something repeated or need a little extra time to read or figure something out, but overall it’s not usually a major issue. I really enjoy roleplay-focused campaigns, even though I’m not great at character voices yet. I enjoy combat too, as long as it isn’t nonstop encounter after encounter after encounter. I’m also completely fine with games where characters can die if it makes sense for the story or situation. I always have way too many character ideas floating around in my head, so I’m happy to make someone new if needed. Salutations! Recently I've discovered Delta Green and am intrested in playing it. I have played ( and Keepered ) Call of Cthulhu so I am fairly experienced with the rules and how d100 systems work. I prefer GMing because I enjoy world building and long-term campaigns, delving deeper into the preset worlds to give them my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to get the chance to do that as well from time to time. Hello I am bubbles I am 25+ years of age, looking for games in 2014 5E. I am a roleplayer first but enjoy combat a fair bit. Hi, I'm Ray! I'm a 29 year old gay trans guy who loves tabletops. I've been in the scene for a little under 10 years (will be 10 this fall) and most of my experience is in DMing in the Numenera setting of the Cypher System, so I am looking to expand my horizons as a player in your group! Broad strokes: I aim to be cool to talk to and interact with, I pride myself on taking high-qulity notes, and I relish the character creation process. I like to think deeply about character decisions, and am most comfortable in a group with a maximum of 3 or 4 players. The Meat of Things Experience: I've been in the ttrpg scene for 10-ish years, but I do not have a ton of experience as a player. To that end, I'm mainly looking to join a game in a system I've never played so I can get the full newbie experience. You won't need to worry about my table ettiquette or basic rules knowledge, just whether I actually read an ability correctly the first few times I use it. Playstyle: I am a roleplayer at heart, and I take character decisions very seriously. I may need a few minutes to mull over what my character may do in any given situation, and I may need information to be restated there is a lot of exposition, but I do understand the need for brevity with others at the table. I love a well thought out combat sequence and I am not opposed to entire sessions being devoted to combat. My main ask is that the campaign cater to my character's arc in some way, I'm not the kind of guy who can make a throw-away character for a campaign that is more focused on a pre-determined path (never personally been a huge fan of modules, for example). Reservations / Preferences: Being almost 30, I prefer games with people around my own age. My comfortable range is anywhere from 25 - 40, with room to wiggle on either side. I won't play at a table that allows hateful language (racism, misogyny, transmisogyny, and transphobia to name a few of the big ones, but this list is not exhaustive), nor will I play at a table that considers itself "neutral ground" regarding human rights conversations. I prefer deeply nuanced and informed conversation around societal issues and suffering, both in-game and in real life. Logistics: I live in SE Michigan, EST, and prefer local games, but I am no stranger to online adventures. If you're in the Detroit Metro area, that works best for me! It became quite an hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing and brainstorming with the others.

Experience I played some AD&D (v2) back in the 1990s, and then went on hiatus for many years. While I played a lot of D&D-inspired video games, I only returned to real D&D last year, and fell back in love with the game. I currently play a weekly 5e game on Roll20, and am looking to add a second nights game to my repertiour. I'm open to online and in-person games, although given the rural area I live in, the latter is not overly likely. My Gameplay Style I like a mixed game style, with a good dose of both roll playing and combat - though I admit to being weak/slow on the roll playing side. I'm most experienced with low-magic characters (I'm a arcane triskster rouge in my current game), but I'd like to try other classes. I'm pretty open to playing any character type, and am happy to change my character around to fit the group. I'm somewhat split in the story-lines that I like to play - I love big epic adventures, but also like small-stakes games (murder mysteries, etc). While I haven't played one since the 1990's, I'd love to play a dungeon crawl centric game (my current game is very much an "exploring an open world" style). I don't know if this is a thing, but a group which plays a series of shorter campaigns instead of one long campaig would be a great fit. 33M, EST time zone I enjoy engaging with themes of "no good guys", moderate to extreme horror and flawed but earnest characters. I love roleplaying and usually build sheets to reflect a character concept or personality instead of optimized stats. Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. Availability: I currently DM a game on Fridays and I'm a player in a campaign on Saturdays nights (starting at 23 UTC, so I can still play on Saturdays so long as the session ends before then), and due to a flexible work schedule, I can make almost any other (reasonable) day/time work for at least the next year. I would prefer a weekly game, but every other week also works. System preference: I don't really mind too much what's being used. I have experience with PF2e and D&D 2014, and a bit with SWADE - I'm currently DMing a campaign using it, 8 sessions in. If we're playing D&D, I'd like to take a look at the 2024 version, as I like most of the changes. About me: I'm a 24 year old guy who's been playing fairly consistently for 5-6 years now. I'm from Brazil so I do have a noticeable accent, but I'm fluent, I promise! Both of the campaigns I'm currently in are fully in English. I despise AI-generated content. I'm sorry, but it's just downright bad and often distracting enough to take me out of the game. If you use AI images often, I'd rather not be in the game. Also I'm gay, if that matters to anyone. What kind of game I'd like: I'm fond of roleplay and PC characterization. Having interactions while maintaining character, be they short remarks or deep conversations, is what I play TTRPGs for! That all being said, I still love combat and exploration with the odd puzzle here and there, and would love a healthy mix of these elements. Sandbox-style campaigns where we are free to explore the character's backgrounds and personal goals while having an overarching objective or even just intriguing side quests would be my favorite type of game. I prefer medieval/steampunk fantasy games most of the time, but I'm not at all opposed to a high-tech/sci-fi campaign! It could be fun. What kinds of characters I usually make: Personality-wise, it varies on the campaign's premise, the game's tone, and my mood at the time. I'm totally down to make anything from an irredeemable villain to a young naive hero. Combat-wise, it depends on the system, but I have a weakspot for "gishes" who blend martial and caster elements. I am guilty of making many "monstrous" characters (my username here is ironic) be they warforged, gargoyles, undead, or just beastmen of any kind. I won't pick something that would be inconvenient/impossible/unfun in your particular setting, though! I want my character to still fit in the world. But if it is a lower fantasy game where player options are more restricted, I'd probably prefer not to join. Not that a character needs an exotic race to be interesting, but I just find the design and appeal of less standard options far more fun to build around, personally! 35 NB dnd player for discord group Hi there! My current group seems to be falling apart and I'd like to have a different group I can count on to play. Obviously sometimes things come up or people get sick, but I would like a group that cares as much and tries as much as I do to keep playing together. I love making stories together with friends and having silly fun with our ridiculous characters. I have currently mostly only been a player, but I had been working on a campaign for myself to DM, with said group. Did session 0s and things, world built etc, but that might have to change due to things that happened in our group. I also recently had an idea for a space jammer campaign. I've dabbled in different classes and general types of characters, some of which I have used inspiration from character from shows and video games I enjoy for reference. My first DND character and the one I've played the most is Phoenix, a fire genasi, way of the dragon monk with an aberrant dragon mark. (Her vibe was a bit of Bakugo and Mirko from My Hero Academia, and also the jaded outlook on life of Astarion with the protectiveness of Karlach from BG3). There were others in between but my current one is Xiào Lián who is a modified/customized/homebrewed Oath of the ancients paladin. The customization was very plot relevant and basically, he is an eladrin elf and I wanted him to have seasonally specific spells and stuff and there is other lore reasons why he can't control his seasons and stuff. I wanted to play a martial class that had more elemental stuff going on and Oath of the Ancients was the closest so I went from there. His sources of inspiration, and quick reference for character vibes are Xin Zhao from League of Legends, Hua Cheng and Xiè Lián from Heaven Official's blessing. He is very honorable, protective, compassionate and a family man. Haha (Also if anyone is curious about that build, I planned it out on Excel from level 4 to level 20) I am also familiar with Pathfinder and MAGE if any people here like those game modes as well. All this to say, I am open to DM-ing for those patient enough to want to play with a noob DM (we can as a group discuss what kind of game we want) and of course open to being a player in a campaign. I can maneuver my work schedule to accommodate others' availability. I'm hoping to find a group who wants to commit to a weekly game. If something comes up that has to happen that day, I'd like everyone in the group to care enough to want to try to plan a different time that week to play (but if there isn't a time that week, thats fine). This is sounding pretty depressing but I truly would love to find/make a new group that is passionate about the worlds we can create in dnd and building them with other people to the point we look forward to spending time together playing the game every week and if we hang out outside of the game, we make dnd jokes to each other about our characters and other silly things, or talk about how we are still reeling from the horrifying thing that happened at the last session. I am currently eager to bring a specific concept to a living world: Silvax, a shadow-focused druid walking the path of a fully fleshed-out, custom-built subclass called the "Circle of the Umbra." Accompanied by his raven familiar, Krow, the build blends stealth, necrotic themes, and deep roleplay to explore the space between the light and the dark. For me, characters are independent organisms with their own flaws, traits, and free will. I believe roleplay shouldn't stop when initiative is rolled. iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

I was introduced to roleplay when I played World of Warcraft as a teenager. At the time, I had no idea what roleplaying really was, but I gradually started to enjoy it, until I reached the point where I preferred roleplaying over other types of content. After that, I joined some roleplaying circles, mostly focused on D&D. As for campaigns I’ve DMed, I’ve run OotA (Out of the Abyss) and CoS (Curse of Strahd). I considered running PotA (Princes of the Apocalypse), but the lore and narration didn’t really hook me. I never seriously considered RoT (Rise of Tiamat), but I might give it some thought. Right now, I’m definitely thinking about DMing LMoP (Lost Mine of Phandelver). I’m a very eccentric and lively person, full of energy and always willing to communicate with others. I’m using different groups and platforms to improve my English, both in comprehension and conversation. I always focus on having fun rather than being overly strict about rules, if everyone is having fun, then I believe the main goal of the game has been achieved. My time zone is BRT, usually 4 hours ahead of PST. I’m more available to join campaigns on Saturdays (in fact, it’s the only day I can consistently dedicate to a long-term campaign). What I like most about D&D (or roleplaying in general) is the lore you can build, the scenarios you can create, and the organic consequences of each character’s actions. I believe coherence is more important than “God Mode,” "Mary Sue characters", or anything like that. If I’m about to die, then so be it - if it makes sense, I’d honestly be more bothered if my character didn’t die. So, in one word, what I value most in a good session is: coherence. Hello! Im Maple (She/Her), Ive been Playing TTRPGs for over a decade now, Ive found myself time and time again in the GM seat; I have an insatiable appetite for world building and game design. I run my games almost solely in my Homebrew Setting thats been in the collaberative works for almost 5 years. Being a Woke™ Transbian, my tables are inclusive and my games often focus on creating change for the better of the everyday people. I appreciate engaged, curious, and artisticly minded players most at my table. I run fast paced and tactically rich combat encounters, often including puzzles and side objectives. Violence isnt usually the default in my games (Roughly 30% of the gametime will be dedicated to combat), but when it is i like it showy and with Narrative-relevant spectacle. When starting new campaigns, i like to have a pair of Session 0's, the first to get a feel for the group and the basic ideas of the world, and the second is for safety tools, house rules, and any unfinished character choices. DM for about 5yrs, looking to play as a player again. I much prefer getting into character and roleplaying vs. something like "my character does this" style of interactions. Open to homebrew (one of my PCs is a homebrew class), adult/nsfw themes, horror, deadly combat, etc. The game can be combat heavy (I have a northern barbarian), investigative (I have a wizard seeking answers), dark/nsfw (my tiefling follower of loviatar comes to mind), or anything at all so long as it is engaging. My availablity is Tues Wed Thus; Central time (I work weekends). I'm typically available what whatever time I agree to, with some exceptions such as a rare in-person engagements or overtime work.

Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Gameplay I look for: - Immersive is a strong preference (want to say highly immersive?). With tension at the table, meaningful consequences, and a group that takes the game seriously without taking themselves too seriously. - And I'd like to see somewhat of a gritty, high-stakes, even violent game, where death is a real possibility and every survival feels earned. But if it's not, and you just want to be my friend (yey!) - hit me anyway, we'll figure something out. Availability: - Reasonable GMT+3 time on weekends. Orient on range from 10AM to 10PM, but negotiable. - I will show up if I said so, and I will notify if I won't be able to show up. Group requirements: - Mature and proactive individuals, preferably around late 20s age range. System preferences: - Open to anything that serves intended gameplay. My experience: - Have several years of TTRPG with me, quite familiar with mainstream rules systems like DnD, Pathfinder, GURPS, comfortable with roleplay and storytelling. - But that was some time ago, so consider me a new player with a bit of a head start.
