Heya, I'm Medea (31f). I've been playing various ttrpgs on and off for more than 15years, and D&D 5e specifically (2014) for about years. My main draw to ttrpgs is the roleplaying aspect, I love creating characters with interesting backstories and plenty of big and small hooks for possible sidequests and personal involvements, and then exploring the setting and campaign through that character's eyes! I'm very flexible about what class and species I end up playing, though rogues and warlocks are my favourites I can comfortably fill pretty much any role a party might need for balance. I love coming up with backstories alongside at least one other player and work out a nice tie-in into the main story of the campaign to make my character really fit with the theme and the party. I also really enjoy combat, especially encounters that feel meaningful to the story and require a little bit of strategy and clever thinking. I also do like exploration, but since I have no sense of direction nor distance and cannot visually imagine things, it can be a bit tough on me and I always work better with (battle-) maps and visual aids. In a D&D group, I really look for a harmonic table, a group of players that is accepting, supportive of each other, and enjoying spending time together. In my opinion, you know a table is solid when the characters a facing conflict amongst each other but the players still work as a team and enjoy playing out the difficulties without animosity. I should probably mention that I'm very asexual and don't enjoy sexism or any sort of sexual content at the table, neither in-game nor outside of it. Finally, there's not too much to tell about myself. I live in Central Europe, I love classic horror movies and all sorts of classic and dark fantasy stories (I'm an especially big fan of the Witcher novels and the older Dragon Age games!), and I've recently been trying to get back into writing again! I can be a bit quiet when I join a new group, but usually that goes away reasonably quickly once I feel welcome! I do have minor audio processing issues, so I may occasionally ask for people to repeat themselves because my brain refuses to take in information sometimes.

I'm Mark! I'm a 50-something tabletop enthusiast. Been playing and GMing since my early teens. I love both traditional board and card games and RPGs. I'm a video game developer professionally and a hobbyist game designer on the side. I enjoy running RPGs in multiple genres and systems. My current go-to "official" system is Index Card RPG, and I have two homebrew systems in development. I'm not a huge fan of D&D because of the cost, heavy ruleset, and recent direction in terms of subscription model and social posturing. I'm Scott. I just retired, and am looking to do more gaming now. I started playing RPG's around 1979 or '80 and never stopped. I've played a myriad of systems, but prefer PF1e. I love creating characters and playing them. I like both combat-oriented and story-oriented campaigns. I've never tried a "West Marches" type of campaign, but could be interested. I don't really care for "dark" campaigns, though. I don't mind fighting nasty demons or undead or people out to cause anguish and mutilation, I just don't want to play one, and I prefer my characters to have some sort of safe place they can operate from. I prefer good or neutral characters. If player characters are backstabbing other characters in a campaign, I will likely quit it. I never cared for Shadowrun, because it seemed like everyone, including your employers, was out to get you. I didn't care much for World of Darkness because it seemed like everyone was working at crossed agendas. I also like the creativity involved with world-building, and like GMing. Since I'm now retired, my schedule is pretty wide open in the afternoons and evenings, except for Friday and Saturday nights (when I have other games going on).

It doesnt require to learn complicated rules and is fast paced and beginner friendly. It allows for oneshots and campains. It doesnt come with a predefined world. World building is part of the game. I've been in the scene for a little under 10 years (will be 10 this fall) and most of my experience is in DMing in the Numenera setting of the Cypher System, so I am looking to expand my horizons as a player in your group! Broad strokes: I aim to be cool to talk to and interact with, I pride myself on taking high-qulity notes, and I relish the character creation process. I like to think deeply about character decisions, and am most comfortable in a group with a maximum of 3 or 4 players. The Meat of Things Experience: I've been in the ttrpg scene for 10-ish years, but I do not have a ton of experience as a player. To that end, I'm mainly looking to join a game in a system I've never played so I can get the full newbie experience. You won't need to worry about my table ettiquette or basic rules knowledge, just whether I actually read an ability correctly the first few times I use it. Playstyle: I am a roleplayer at heart, and I take character decisions very seriously. I may need a few minutes to mull over what my character may do in any given situation, and I may need information to be restated there is a lot of exposition, but I do understand the need for brevity with others at the table. I love a well thought out combat sequence and I am not opposed to entire sessions being devoted to combat. My main ask is that the campaign cater to my character's arc in some way, I'm not the kind of guy who can make a throw-away character for a campaign that is more focused on a pre-determined path (never personally been a huge fan of modules, for example). Reservations / Preferences: Being almost 30, I prefer games with people around my own age. My comfortable range is anywhere from 25 - 40, with room to wiggle on either side. I won't play at a table that allows hateful language (racism, misogyny, transmisogyny, and transphobia to name a few of the big ones, but this list is not exhaustive), nor will I play at a table that considers itself "neutral ground" regarding human rights conversations. I prefer deeply nuanced and informed conversation around societal issues and suffering, both in-game and in real life. I got into the hobby about ten years ago as a way to release some creative energy while studying. I found myself immediately as my friends' forever DM and have not looked back since ! I have taught the majority of my players how to play D&D and have always had good experiences with new players. Most of my experience comes from D&D 5E, but I have been slowly getting into Daggerheart lately. First and foremost, I DM by the rule of cool. Everyone is here to have a good time, and I try to enable this whenever possible. Besides that, my DM style revolves (especially for campaigns) heavily around involving the player characters in the story. I try to find balanced games where exploration, combat, and social interactions naturally intertwine. But I have to say, my favorite thing about TTRPGs is just seeing where the group's creativity will take the story, and letting the chaos unfold. Although this approach may have led to premature ends of prepared plot threads from time to time...

Currently I run an in-person campaign of Nimble for my Friday night crew, and am looking to expand my online games to new players. Hello all, I am an experienced GM that have been running and playing many types of ttrpgs since the early 80's. I have been running games online for sometime now and am comfortable using several VTTs as well as Discord. I prefer to GM over being a player and have ran a variety of ttrpg systems on- and off- line. When it comes to gaiming, I can be relied on to make the schedule regularly, barring health and some holidays. While I love all sorts of gaming styles, my preferred gaming includes a mix of strong roleplaying and combat. I really enjoy getting into character and experiencing others do the same. I live in the Pacific Time Zone and usually am avaliable during the week for gaming at 4pm or later, Sundays is special as I have a more open schedule from 8 am to midnight. My current preferred games are Marvel Multiverse, 2d20 Infinity, and Warhammer 4th ed (in-order of perference). I might be willing to run other games as well, but the above take priority.

35 NB dnd player for discord group Hi there! My current group seems to be falling apart and I'd like to have a different group I can count on to play. Obviously sometimes things come up or people get sick, but I would like a group that cares as much and tries as much as I do to keep playing together. I love making stories together with friends and having silly fun with our ridiculous characters. I have currently mostly only been a player, but I had been working on a campaign for myself to DM, with said group. Did session 0s and things, world built etc, but that might have to change due to things that happened in our group. I also recently had an idea for a space jammer campaign. I've dabbled in different classes and general types of characters, some of which I have used inspiration from character from shows and video games I enjoy for reference. My first DND character and the one I've played the most is Phoenix, a fire genasi, way of the dragon monk with an aberrant dragon mark. (Her vibe was a bit of Bakugo and Mirko from My Hero Academia, and also the jaded outlook on life of Astarion with the protectiveness of Karlach from BG3). There were others in between but my current one is Xiào Lián who is a modified/customized/homebrewed Oath of the ancients paladin. The customization was very plot relevant and basically, he is an eladrin elf and I wanted him to have seasonally specific spells and stuff and there is other lore reasons why he can't control his seasons and stuff. I wanted to play a martial class that had more elemental stuff going on and Oath of the Ancients was the closest so I went from there. His sources of inspiration, and quick reference for character vibes are Xin Zhao from League of Legends, Hua Cheng and Xiè Lián from Heaven Official's blessing. He is very honorable, protective, compassionate and a family man. Haha (Also if anyone is curious about that build, I planned it out on Excel from level 4 to level 20) I am also familiar with Pathfinder and MAGE if any people here like those game modes as well. All this to say, I am open to DM-ing for those patient enough to want to play with a noob DM (we can as a group discuss what kind of game we want) and of course open to being a player in a campaign. I can maneuver my work schedule to accommodate others' availability. I'm hoping to find a group who wants to commit to a weekly game. If something comes up that has to happen that day, I'd like everyone in the group to care enough to want to try to plan a different time that week to play (but if there isn't a time that week, thats fine). This is sounding pretty depressing but I truly would love to find/make a new group that is passionate about the worlds we can create in dnd and building them with other people to the point we look forward to spending time together playing the game every week and if we hang out outside of the game, we make dnd jokes to each other about our characters and other silly things, or talk about how we are still reeling from the horrifying thing that happened at the last session. My cards are as on the table as they can be at this point. If you have read this whole post, thank you for your time. I mentioned my age up top for full transparency. Hi I'm VM, started playing D&D5e a few years ago and then started DMing (mostly). Last campaign DMed was a modern take on Fantasy with the party going from 1-12 level. My playstyle is balanced as I enjoy both roleplaying and combats, as a DM I ran a few modules (sprinkled with some hombrew to tie PC backstories or backgrounds) but open to Homebrew as long as it's fun for everyone. -Schedulewise, because of work most likely the frequency would be weekly (would get my schedule a week before), but would like to go long-term with a steady party. -Just as heads up, first language its not english so I can try to incorporate my accent into the game
