Hello everyone! I am seeking (ideally) 5 to 6 players to join my FATE campaign set in the world of Annesai, my solarpunk world that I've been building for years. If you're interested in building a character with deep lore and backstories, solving several intertwining story-wide mysteries, and feeling like you're in a huge sandbox, this is the game for you! In Annesai, magic use is forbidden because of its perceived danger. The city of Franzin destroyed itself with it, and as a result people use it secretly and cautiously. The natural lifespan of the country's citizens is 150. People stick around for a long time, and they remember how things used to be. This will be a very roleplay heavy campaign. FATE mechanics like aspects and stunts will be used, but mostly for character driven actions and solving plot lines. Actual "combat" will be incredibly rare. This will also be entirely play by post, with the hopes that each player will post at least twice per day to keep things moving. Story beats will come from me, but players will have time to respond how they'd like. I am a first time GM, so patience is appreciated as I figure out what this all looks like! The country seems to be trying to find its footing in a time where a lot of things are going on at once. In the underground city of Gyuna, citizens have started to notice people with animal like features slinking around the darker parts of the city. Body mods aren't uncommon, like wings tails and horns, but these people are different. They stay as secluded as they possibly can. They look like they're in pain. They look grotesque. Too many are starting to be spotted too often for this to be a simple body mod trend gone wrong. When the Kingsmen started finding people dead from these deformities, they called more forces into the underground, putting everyone on edge. Up in artistic city Purret, the Children of Voltrix have begun recruiting members into their Church more aggressively. They've been holding more open houses, sending higher up members into businesses to leave their new pamphlets when they've never allowed people to leave before, even gotten the High Society Six School of the Arts to start filming a documentary on them. The leader Olix has made an announcement that she will personally pay the fare for anyone who wants to travel from outside Purret to join the CoV. They're gaining more members than ever, and people who are losing friends and loved ones to her cause are starting to worry. After all, nobody even knows what they /do/ in there. And now things have started to come to a head - because the entire country is pretty sure the King is dead. This isn't even horrible news to most of Annesai's citizens, but it's led to confusion and concern. With King Phillip dead, his son Ellion will take the throne... and nobody knows a single thing about him. The general opinion in the royal city of Walnuri is that King Phillip simply waited too long to have an heir. His estranged brother, Alexander, has three children. His eldest Peony has just turned 31 and is only now starting to be referred to in the news as a "young woman" rather than a teenager. His second eldest Zachariah is only 15, and nowhere close to being taken seriously. Phillip, in no real rush, waited until he was 80 before he had a child, and his wife died from childbirth complications. Too old and "busy" to truly raise his new son alone, Ellion was thrust into the arms of countless nannies and old male teachers, none of whom he took to. In our present day, nobody knows anything about Ellion at all except that he's incredibly shy. Interviews - if he agrees to them - are only published in papers and articles. Its incredibly rare to hear his voice. Nobody knows his opinion on magic, on the situation in the ruined Franzin or seedy Gyuna, nothing. To be honest, nobody really cared. Walnuri citizens thought he was cute and would grow into his title, and everybody else decided they would pay attention to him when he was old enough to grow out of his meekness and address the nation without prompting from his father. After all, the King was only just in his hundreds and in seemingly good health. Ellion wouldn't take the throne for at least 20 more years, when he was old enough to take it seriously. But now the King is dead, and his son, at only 22, is taking control of Annesai.

I am looking to put together a group of mature, roleplay oriented ttrpg players.  Although I would consider someone of undergraduate age if they were mature enough, Im really looking for grad student on up. I am specifically interested in non WOTC games.  I have a large collection,  Id like to rotate Gamemaster between at least 2 of us, and preferrably 3, so I get a chance to play too :)  Game system and setting are GM choice.  I have 2 games I would like to run. One is DCC (an OSR game) and the other is a variant of Legend in the Mist which is a narrative game.

Had a player leave due to stupid real life getting in the way of D&D, so I have another spot open. He was the rogue, so a rogue would be cool, but not mandatory. You can be whatever you want. The game takes place on a recently discovered continent, and largely revolves around exploring it. There's one permanent settlement, and there's fun stuff going on there too. The group just hit 3rd level, so you'll start at 3rd level too. Anything from the official 3.5 releases is fine to use (except for Tome of Battle and Savage Species), and there's a few 3rd party books you can use too. The game is on Saturdays at 3pm EST, we use Discord and Owlbear Rodeo, and I have a form fillable PDF character sheet we're using. The idea is that you came to this new land to make a new life for yourself. Why is entirely up to you. I've purposefully left the "old world" as vague as possible so you can come up with pretty much any kind of character you want. All I ask is no royalty. My only real requirement is that you have a decent microphone, and if you have a lot of noise going on around you put yourself on push to talk. I'm kind of deaf and have a hard enough time hearing as it is.

The World Mioridask is a world made and defined by dragons. Its societies are split into those that worship dragons for their protection and benevolence, and those who believe in the freedom of individuals. Both sides fight for their beliefs, and kingdoms rise or fall out of pettiness and determination from either side. You, however, are no king. Not a peasant anymore either. By the end of the campaign, you are hopefully a hero. The Campaign The tone of the campaign is generally light-hearted, but there will be serious and tragic events as well. While I incorporate mature themes into my storytelling, this won't devolve into a gore or smut fest. I‘m planning to run a story where you are the good guys, the hero in this draconian system. The campaign will follow a linear storytelling. That means that I have a story in mind that I want to tell with you, which will incorporate your character‘s background as well. How you reach your goal is up to you, but I, as the DM, will determine what the goal is. I‘ve tried sandbox-style campaigns before and found that I don‘t enjoy them (and am also not good at running them). Your choices WILL matter, but if your choice is to rob a bank when the quest is to protect a village, then the group will choose that you aren‘t a good fit. The split between combat and roleplay will be 40/60. Exploration will sometimes take place but won’t be the focus. We’ll play over Discord and use Foundry for battlemaps and rolls. Cams are encouraged but not enforced or required. We'll start at lvl 1 and go all the way to 15. Possibly followed by some one-shot style adventures post main story to level 20. The Hook You‘ll start in the territory of the „Tribes of Stone“, a desert where most people live underground to escape the burning heat and dangerous monsters that hide in the sand. Access to magic here is rare, so when a merchant‘s delivery, which includes a spell scroll, gets lost on its way to the capital, he hires you to retrieve the wares. About the world: We'll be playing in a world called Alver on the continent of Kronland. This is a heavily Nordic-inspired world. Imagine what the late Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe would have looked and felt like if the Vikings had become the dominant influence rather than Christianity. At the same time, there would still be distinct kingdoms with their own cultures, fashions, and styles. Norse mythology is deeply ingrained in the world.  The lore is inspired by Nordic mythology, but it is NOT Nordic mythology. It's a full-on pantheon and history I created. Some stuff will align and match, but much will not.  The continent is vast, and thus, the distance between cities, villages, and civilizations is such that the world varies greatly, from areas with rare magic and supernatural elements to cosmopolitan cities with mixed races, magic, and wonder. The game is designed to strike a balance between drama, grim humor, and epic adventure. It's not just grimdark or silly - it'll be a mix of all. You'll start small in scope, but the story is meant to go epic by the end.  There are five playable races (with some having sub-races), which I'll share the details of later, but these are the closest "D&D" races to them in racial traits: Menskr: Humans + Vel (homebrew variant human - with some innate self-magical potential) Kettir: Homebrew Tabaxi Hedlinari: Homebrew mix between Dwarfs/Gnomes/Halfings Graari: Homebrew Goliath (with horns! lol) Mal-Siva: Homebrew Aasimar (The only race that can use "real" magic classes like Wizards or Warlocks in my world) Closing words: That's it. She has explored the better half of the Midwest and has decided to settle down here. She says it's because she can see the sunrise from where she lives. Winchester: An easygoing 40yo businessman. With a gleaming bald scalp, a rotund body, and a tiny, beady eyes, he's looks like a very stereotypical wealthy man. He's on a business trip and decided to stop in this town for the night, the night before the train broke down. Vibe: Grimdark, high fantasy, found family, dungeon crawl I'm looking for players who enjoy the tension of resource management and clever problem-solving over "face-tanking" monsters. Tone: I'm not going to say the tone will be intentionally comedic or serious, as I can understand that it can be difficult for people to successfully pull off either, so it's going to be more of a playing be ear of seeing what players I get and seeing where it goes, and hopefully having those funny or serious moments come organically rather than intentionally. Anyone interest in a biweekly EST Friday evening game of rogue trader? With like 4-6 players. Played on Roll20, since I know it best. Discord for threads and comms. Basically the PCs will own/be command staff on a huge starship with like 80k crew members. It’s a city in space. So big it will have two active alien invasions on board that have been ongoing on for generations within the lower decks. The party will have a warrant granted to them that says whatever they can claim (and hold onto) in a distant expanse of the milkyway they can keep. That means solar-systems, planets, populations, resources and riches. A star barony that they can pretty much run however they want or can all agree upon. As long as they pay their tithes/taxes to the Imperium. Races for PCs are pretty wide open. I’d allow an ork (probably a merc working for gear and teef). An aeldari (space elves), a grot could be fun. A farseer Tau firewarrior with a stealth battle suit. Kroot or ogryn is on the table. The rogue trader and navigator would have to be “human”, but the rest of the crew im open. The system uses percentile dice. Not my fav but we’ll make due. The themes in the game can be pretty heavy. Think of a bad thing in RL and there are races/planets/gods doing all that and probably more. We’ll steer clear of the absolute worst of it, but just a heads up it’s a very adult game. I would personally like to see the game run iconoclast with dabblings into imperial dogma and chaos heresy. id like to see the party try to help people/xenos of the expanse more than enslave/destroy them. So I'm a completely new DM, I've never done this before. I was/am making a sci-fi D&D campaign and i wanna test run it! It has a history of being invaded, but the invaders often quickly leave after seeing there is nothing of value here, or at least thats what they think. There are some gaint Lithium vains that are of significant value, and propels the very few civilizations that live here to incredible tech levels. Thats also why most cyborgs are from here. Jaguda (juipiter-ish planet) There's not much to say about Jaguda, all there is that giant space station that quite an amount of people live on but thats just it Urath (earth-ish planet) A planet with a huge history, I'd rather not go into all the war-crimes that happened during the countless wars that happened here... But it is the most basic planet so idk Luna (Moon-ish Moon) Its a fu##### moon, what do you want me to write about this place? Only real thing is that there is a treaty to not touch/land/do nything on this planet to preserve its natural beauty? Okay the Urath goverment must be on some Star-high dust like B#### WHAT DO YOU MEAN NATURAL BEAUTY THERE'S NOTHING Idra (-ish Planet) Idra is an extremely cold place that is any miners dream, many ores, soft rock, and big caves! But the surface it pretty much un-livable due to the -120 degree C0 winds. Except a giant group of penguins don't agree with this basic common thought and made a civilization here. While they may have a giant fleet, penguins are clumsy yk? Avonria (-ish Moon) On of the 2 big population centers, while the majority of the population might be in EXTREME poverty. The higher-ups and government are insanely rich and posses the strongest ship known to the universe! One half of the planet is a gaint dessert, and the other one an overrun city. And don't worry, the elites are high above in their space station! Dawntor (-ish Moon) Not a big moon with alot of people, but it is the most uniqe! As this is one of the few places where magic is a normal thing, most people that see this are baffeld and suprised that that is real! So ships/parts from here are often interwoven with magic and this planet is the only way to get shields on a ship. And no I see you reading this, if your born on this plant you automtically get magic skills, even without learning! But for others its quite hard, but possible! Especially when they've spent some time on the planet it-self. Experts say this comes from 3 pillars, but come on, who believes them? The road to earning your place among Gloranthas legendary heroes will not be an easy, or quick one, but it will be a fun one. In terms of game structure it will be less of one singular long plot and more several isolated 2-5 session adventures, with a healthy cast of recurring NPC's, and lots of player backstory content mixed in. Heya! I’m Marlow (17, They/Them) and I’m honestly looking for a group and DM whose willing to let me join their table! At this time, I’m unfortunately only free on Tuesdays which I know is a bit of an awkward time, but I at least wanted to try! Hello! We are a tight-knit group of 6 very experienced D&D Players who are looking for a DM to run the module Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen! We are wanting to play on Thursdays from 3pm-7pm CDT (GMT-5). There may be some wiggle room but we are pretty set on this as its the consensus that had been reached for 6 people, a feat already hard enough as it is. This game will be a campaign going from levels 1 to 5, but it can be extended to level 10 if the group wants to continue playing. We will play using only the core 5e 2014 books, and the game will focus on player agency using only theater of the mind. Pay close attention to the scene descriptions, especially in combat. [5E/5.5E 2014/2024] [Weakly : Sunday] [21+] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] An All New Campaign Based On You ! Hi, my name is Logan (34M) from Belgium. I've been a DM for over 10 years in different RPGs. I want to start an online campaign with friends all over the world. I love to breathe life into a world and my characters and I’m searching for players that want to do the same. The time of play will be 3 hours on Sunday in a window between 7PM and 12PM GMT+1 so between 10 AM to 5 PM CST for my friends across the Atlantic. We’ll establish the official time once we have our players. Here's a bit about my DMing style: * I see RPG like we're making a movie together. Great movies have victories and defeats, fun moments and sad ones. Sometimes you're the hero of the story. Sometimes, you're the sidekick of someone else's story. I seek players that are not shy to roleplay their characters and get that it's not just a game to win points: It's all about the story., * My balance is often 60% roleplay / 35% battle / 5% puzzles, * There is no lore, no pre-established narrative frame to start the campaign. I want to start and build it based on your characters, their backstories and what they do. i build my campaigns in sandbox arcs that feed from each other. I have ideas for the start and for long narratives to drive the story, but I want it to be weaved organically with your story. The universe is classic medieval fantasy D&D. * I believe there can be no real fun without real agency. that's why I believe giving a maximum of freedom to my players to act, react, initiate, take risks and also face consequences. Rules of fun always applies. I avoid railroading as much as possible ( some "dungeon narrative" sometimes give no other options but,yeah) In terms of player profiles, I search non-complicated/ non-toxic players (first player syndrome won’t be welcomed), LGBTQ+ friendly, and 21+. The reason for the age restriction is mostly because I don’t exclude mature themes in my campaign. Romance, intimacy and trauma aren't off the table, but consent and boundaries will be discussed beforehand. I just want to be able to create stories with bigger emotional stakes. I use DND beyond for all sheets and maps management.
