i'm new to D&D and would like to DM my own campaign, but I have never joined a session. Unless you call joining Old Greg's tavern a session.  I'm looking for anyone that wants to join. It would be best if we had it during the weekend since I'm free all day.  Homebrew Idea:  All players roll a D20, but the DM chooses what happens. Example: The DM says to roll for a Wisdom Saving Throw and the player gets a 11. They have to beat 11, and if they fail they will have very loud, goofy, intrusive thoughts through out the entire session.

I'm fine with hosting novice or experienced players of all types, in a nonjudgemental setting (we will all attempt to leave controversial perspectives outside the room to encourage social harmony). Any sort of dimensional travel can only travel between the opposite dimension. Eg. If you're in Gaia and use a dimensional travel ability/spell you will travel to Syatra and vice versa. Resurrection is incredibly rare and powerful magic. Thus is inaccessible by most. If needed then one must gain the favor of a powerful being capable of such a feat. Rare and expensive materials may be needed for the ritual as well. Meaning, you will have to do a difficult side quest to get a resurrection. The hook: You are mercenaries in the capital city of the holy obsidian empire, Karános. You have been hired  as extra muscle and to help with patrols as the city is dealing with a corrupting song that is seemingly causing people to go mad and fly into a frenzy. Thus causing crime to sky rocket and the Onyx capes are understaffed. That chaos stemming from an event known as “Tombiyo”, in which a mysterious witch named Lady JaeJin wreaked havoc throughout the land, for unknown reasons. Kingdoms fell, society crumbled with law and tranquility were consumed with anarchy. It was questioned why no divine intervention came in these times, seemingly the gods forsaking their followers with their absence.   For the past five hundred years, order has began establishing itself once again Not without trial and error, though. Attempts at governments, kingdoms, organizations, militaries and the like have risen and fallen. Through persistence and hope for a future, some have been created and withstood the test of time. Such as the metropolis that is island’s capital, the economical growth of the  business savvy Infernal Inquisition, or recently established E.C.H.O., the unofficial military force of Saalda. In their wake, some other groups and societies are budding as well.  In this time of reconstruction, a major part is the religious renaissance. With some people even forgetting there were possibly gods of the past, finding new ways to worship, primarily through ideals, rather than divine figures. Be it the nature that is abundant, to something as simple as the burning ember on a candle. Others have found figures to prayer to, one being  the aforementioned nomadic woman that is JaeJin, who still roams. Logically, their magic being gifted by unseen forces would prove the existence of divine figures.  The unseen the key word, as no one knows what this magic truly means, even the caster themselves in some cases. hello there i have played a few games of dnd but never been a dm before still learning on how to do that and looking for players that will played a homebrew 5e monster hunter campaign in the Erie area.

The small seaside town of Otari is known for its fresh fish and skilled sailors, but above all, it’s a big logging town, providing valuable wood to the nearby metropolis of Absalom. Some are saying that some sort of beast is lurking in the basement, feeding on the stores of salted fish. Folks are worried that whatever is eating the fish might get hungry enough to eat the fishers next! You've received a letter from Tamily Tanderveil, the owner of the Fishery. Inside is a desperate plea for help. With the town guard busy protecting the loggers, she needs a few brave souls to venture down into the basement of her warehouse and put an end to the beast that's feasting on her fish! Do you have the courage to face the menace under Otari? A short 2-4 session game of the Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box where you will be introduced to the basic mechanics of Pathfinder 2e. I have run the Box multiple times and am open to help any players learn the system. We will be playing over Discord for Voice and on Foundry for the maps and tokens. Foundry is free for players and has great automatisation for Pathfinder2e. Specific day can be negotiated with the players, but we would usually start playing at around at 7/8pm UTC+1. I’m looking to attempt running a 2e Dark Sun game as you may have gathered from the title. I’ll be running the pre written adventure “A Little Knowledge where the party starts off in the depths of a slave hold traversing the Athasian desert! A disclaimer about me is that I’m pretty new to dm’ing. And frankly I don’t have much experience with 2e aside from a few online games. And Dark Sun is a setting that most people wouldn’t recommend for beginners. However, everyone’s gotta start somewhere and I have a soft spot for this setting in particular. Hungry World takes place in the world of Esurio, where surges of wild magic have been sprouting up all over the world, scarring the landscape and warping the world as we know it. Character Creation Info - Starting at level 3 (unsure of where we will end, but this will be a long-term game, so likely into the higher levels/15+) - Pretty much all standard D&D/fantasy races, except for warforged (or any other "inorganic" races), are allowed. - Homebrew races/subclasses/backgrounds are allowed, but must be run by me first. - Any race with a higher than average speed (35ft+, like aarakocra, tabaxi, satyr, etc) cannot be a monk. You can be those one of races *or* a monk if you want, but you cannot be the combination of the two (I learned this lesson the hard way with a way too fast aarakocra monk PC in another game lol) - Rolled stat generation - HP can be fixed or rolled (if rolled, reroll 1s) - Password: Sunrise - Multiclassing allowed (your stats do not have to meet multiclass requirements) - Optional class features (from Tasha's) allowed - Milestone leveling - Everyone starts with 1 free Common magic item - Would love to get at least a small backstory document from each player so I can work their story into the game from the beginning. It doesn't have to be super in depth, but I would like at least a bit of deep thought put into the character's origin. If you give me a huge backstory document with lots of juicy details to sink my teeth into, I will be kissing you on the mouth (consensual/platonic). Just be willing to possibly change some details up to fit the world/story ideas I currently have! Homebrew Rules - Everyone starts with one free DM inspiration (free d20 reroll) and more can be earned with creative game play. - Sorcerers can be CON casters (instead of CHA). I will also allow other main class ability changes with some discussion. - Only rule I am taking from the 2024 rule set: Exhaustion (10 levels instead of 6, and subtracting current # of exhaustion levels from all d20 rolls) - Exploding crits (any die rolled to the highest value is rerolled and continually added to total damage until rolled below highest value). Ex: crit on 4d10, you would roll 8d10. If you rolled a 10 on any of those dice, you would keep rolling and adding until you roll that die below a 10. - "Beyond the Limit" spell slots (idk if this idea has an actual name lol). Basically, you can keep using your spell slots, even once you have run out of them, but at the cost of level(s) of exhaustion equal to the spell level of the slot Ex: a 2nd level spell slot recovered this way would give you 2 levels of exhaustion. I am still playtesting this idea, including playing around with the idea of allowing this for non-casters with class/race abilities, but it might change around a bit. - Sanity/Fear checks. I'm stealing this from Call of Cthulhu and will be using a fear system that could possibly lead to your PC developing phobias and other effects based on the horrific things you may encounter. - While I tend to stick to mostly RAW (rules as written), I'm also open to rule of cool when it would benefit the story/the enjoyment of the players. Other notes - Everyone is welcome at my table. I am a white queer enby, who is disabled/neurodivergent, and will always try my best to foster safe spaces for folks. - Safety tools are used at the table. I use lines and veils, X cards, TTRPG consent forms, after session unwinding/discussions and am open to others! - You're allowed to roll physical or digital dice, the only roll I ask for to always be rolled digitally is death saves. Hello!! Calling all players that just enjoy dungeon crawls!!  Have you ever wanted to just join a game and have fun with large dungeon crawls and fighting weird and interesting enemies? Not really into the whole 'There's this huge quest line of things to follow' sort of game?  Just want to experience dungeon crawls and watch your character grow as they dive deeper and deeper into a never-ending dungeon? Well this is for you! I enjoy dungeon crawls, I enjoy monster making, and I enjoy puzzle rooms and traps that don't really link into a larger story.  This is something just for fun and takes place in... you guessed it... a never-ending dungeon. The premise for this is simple - Your characters want to be one of the first to make it to the bottom of the dungeon.  This dungeon has been around for a couple of decades, many adventurers go in but none make it to the bottom, if there even is one. Nobody knows why it appeared, or what the purpose is. But it's there, and the deeper you go, the more dangerous it gets. We will start this game off at level 1 and will hopefully make it to level 20.  There will be opportunity for character growth through roleplay but this is just a never-ending dungeon that gets harder with each floor that you clear. So it is very much a mix of combat and rp. Where did this dungeon come from? Who made it? What's at the bottom? You'll have to find out! This game is text-based with optional VC! I would prefer it be live-text since I plan on using maps and stuff. My timezone is CST but I have a weird schedule and stay up pretty late. Game will use Foundry for maps and Avrae for combat (Please make sure you are able to use DnDBeyond for sheets) I would prefer everyone be 18+ but 16+ is fine as long as everyone agrees to be on their best behavior and not be weirdos if there is someone underage.  (Anyone who is not on their best behavior will immediately be removed and reported. Hello, my name is Cameron. I’m a 25-year-old male. I have started a new DnD group and have 4 members I am looking for 1 more player to run **Lost Mine of Phandelver**. Sessions will be every Thursday starting at **8:00 PM GMT** and running 2-4 hours. I have DMed three times before but still consider myself a beginner, so I’m ideally looking for newer players, especially those who haven’t played this module before. That said, more experienced players are welcome as long as you’re patient and happy playing in a beginner-friendly group. We will be using Roll20 and Google sheets for VTT and character sheets. The Hook: **The characters are in the city of Neverwinter when they are approached by a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker. Gundren is a cheerful, ambitious prospector who claims to have discovered something important near the frontier town of Phandalin. He is tight-lipped about the details but clearly excited.** **Gundren explains that he needs a group of adventurers to escort a wagon of supplies to Phandalin. The cargo consists of provisions and mining equipment intended for a contact in town, Barthen’s Provisions. Gundren offers to pay the characters 10 gold pieces each for guarding the wagon on the road.** **Gundren and his human companion, Sildar Hallwinter, plan to ride ahead on horseback to Phandalin while the characters follow with the wagon. They ask the party to deliver the supplies safely and meet them in town within a few days. There are sound effects and visual scenes throughout the game. This is played in the theatre of the mind, and no combat maps are used. This is played rules as written, but the rule of cool is also used when it benefits the narrative. You'll need to complete an RPG consent checklist, which will be confidential between you and me.
