I'm looking to run a ~6 month long Stormlight Archives campaign on Thursdays at 8pm GMT weekly. This campaign is set to explore the Frostlands and surrounding seas during the period between the third and fourth novels. Familiarity with the setting would be beneficial, though not critical, but be prepared for spoilers for the first four books of the series! Beginners are welcome, as this will be my first attempt at running the system too. I'll be running via FoundryVTT and using Discord for voice communication. In terms of game content, I'll be going for a similar heroic fantasy as the books, though a little more down to earth as your characters wont be in positions of direct power or influence to start. I've GMed various systems for over 15 years, and always enjoy trying new ones. My campaign style tends to be quite open ended and sandboxy, lots of exploration and building on the actions of the players.

Hello! My name is Alexis and I am the DM for a DnD campaign in my homebrew world of Aegrumund. I am 20 years old, have been playing dnd for about 5 years and DM’ing for a little over 3. Currently I am looking for 2 new players to build the party back up to a team of 6. Previous players left due to schedule complications. You’ll be joining another new player for a 3 player mini-adventure (2 sessions) before joining the rest. What to expect Setting: Aegrumund is a very homebrewed setting, so many things are different. So don’t argue with me that something is not like how it is in base DnD lore. This includes Gods, the world of Aegrumund has a unique pantheon that is filled with renamed DnD deities and unique deities I’ve come up with. There will be around 11 countries to choose from which I’ll discuss at end of post. Technology: The technology is more advanced than typical fantasy setting, with the world having tech about equal to early 20th century, so there are things such as biplanes, trains, vehicles, and firearms. Though firearms did not have as much as an impact as they have had in real life, so armour and other weapons are still prevalent. Atmosphere and themes: This campaign is very political and explores serious themes such as xenophobia, fascism, corruption of politics, and the casualties of war. Despite the serious subject matters, there will still be many lighthearted moments. A lot of the core themes of the campaign revolve around togetherness and the prevalence of hope against all odds. Gameplay: I try to offer a good mix of exploration, combat and roleplay. With combat, sometimes it will be grand battles and other times it's many smaller battles with fitting enemies that slowly chip away at you. It is quite a roleplay focused group and your backstory will absolutely matter and I will do y best to make nods to it throughout the campaign even if it takes a while to get to. I try to give everyone their spotlight moment.  Story: The world is ending, although not many know it. This will soon be discovered by your characters. The story will revolve around your characters travelling across the world and gathering resources, experience, and allies to put a stop to the nothingness that wishes to encapsulate the universe. Your characters will have to deal with their own flaws and the flaws of the world to have a fighting chance against their adversaries Now here are small snippets of the current characters. Kalashtar Artificer (Armourer) who is determined to remember more of their past and provide freedom for those they come across. Leonin Barbarian (Giant) who goes place to place hunting down dangerous monsters that threaten all around them; has a penchant for hating pirates. Tiefling Druid (Stars) who is constantly on the move, yet gets overly attached to those around her, although plays a safe distance of religious folk; hates liars. Please make sure to build a character that can work with others and is preferably not evil alligned, as I have had players try to get away with incredibly questionable missions, getting upset when confronted. Here are descriptions of the 11 countries of Lyoren and Euloshia. Lyoren Viarose, Ascadiya and Dourzier are all apart of the Dourzieran Empire Viarose: This is the country where the wind sings; large crop fields, open plains, and flower fields that on as far as the eye can see; fey magic is known to rustle through the long grass throughout the land. Viarose is one of the biggest grain producers of the world and is known to have extremely good education. A country where the food is plentiful and people are more than happy to share. Ascadiya:Ascadiya is full of mountanous spires and forests full of tall trees. Their number one export is timber, as they have aircrafts that are able to fly overhead and plant seeds and special fertiliser, creating a balance of give and take. Not everyone has caught on to this life style, however, as sky pirates can still be seen flying above the homes of many. Many birdfolk live up high in the trees and dwarves have made their homes in the mountains. Dourzier: Dourzier leads the world in innovation. Producing some of the greatest technological minds and the blueprints for technology that will change the world. Dourzier is the largest user of magetech, technology that combines forward thinking technology and incredibly magic. Dourzier is the home of all kinds of people, a majority focused on becoming unique individuals, making something of themselves and not blending in with the crowd. f Skovadin: Skovadin is a cold ruthless country that prioritises industrialisation. They do not take kindly to Dourziers magetech and prefer the traditional tech of steam and smoke. Many dwarves, goliaths, humans, orcs, and gnomes have made their home here, carrying on the practice of old giant and dwarven runes to progress their society. Despite the cold nature, many Skovadins are welcoming and take pride in making efforts to contribute greatly to their community. Mipheer:Mipheer is full of large forests which host a plethora of flora and fauna. People and nature are intertwined. Nature has a voice here and people listen. Mipheer is home to many of those who live in the moment, and can be aloof at times. It is also home to the Emerald Eye, a group of people who seek to learn as much as they can and share it with many, so corruption may not spread. Like Viarose, fey magic is prevalent here, although it has more presence throughout the beautiful massive woods. Sombrirciel: Sombrirciel is a country almost entirely underground. Underneath the great mountainous expanses near Skovadin is where Sombrirciel lies, with large artificial and natural formations holding up the ceiling, which is home to thousands of glittering rocks resembling stars. Sombrirciel is full of those who managed to escape the enslavement of tyrants below them, now sealed off, hopefully for good. Euloshia Vuluvaki: Vuluvaki is a large expanse of savannahs, forests, and deserts. While many of the world considers Vuluvaki to be less advanced, they show themselves to be extremely experienced in agriculture, craftsmanship, and the sciences. It is home to a strange phenomenon that seems to drive people mad the deeper into Robaria one goes. Many worry about it spreading, but many Robarian priests seem to manage to be able to claim it. Kinaezi: Kinaezi is one of the leading countries when it comes to medicinal technology, using a combination of innovative magetech and the traditional arts of natural herbalism. In recent years, Kinaezi has focused a lot of it’s efforts on modern industrialisation and providing more infrastructure for the ever increasing population. Kinaezi argues for a world that combines traditionalism and industrialisation to truly make progress. Corazia: Corazia is a land full of lush jungles, hosting a wide array of fauna and flora. It prides itself on it’s massive outputs of fruit produce and it’s incredibly powerful military which makes good use of Corazia’s war technology. The people are determined, hard working, and thrive within communities. The society is very meritocratic, with strength and intelligence being very prized within the country. Republic of Guastia: This island chain country prides itself in its seafaring technology, being able to explore great distances and having world renowned seafood. The people of Guastia are welcoming and wear both their heart and tradition on their sleeves. Nature and spirituality is highly valued here, making use of what the land gives you and being thankful for what you receive. Sashismar: Sashismar is an incredibly beautiful scenic coastal country where the sea breeze spans for miles. Many nobles reside here, enjoying the riches of Sashimar being one of the largest trading countries in the world. There is never a day without entertainment, many people come here to enjoy the delicious seafood, the lovely beaches, endless alcohol, and of course the never-ending gossip with the noble houses. Lore bit The current year is 1784 of the Age of Empowerment. Euloshia is improving exponentially, with trade, production, and invention increasing ever more. This is a stark contrast to about a hundred years ago when a great event caused massive war. Dourzier was on the cusp of an amazing discovery, however, they needed a specific location. A specific village in Skovadin had everything Dourzier needed. So it was, work was set immediately. However, the experiment went wrong, Skovadin accused Dourzier of this being some hidden terrorist attack, Dourzier of course refuted this. This meant war, Skovadin troops were sent to Dourzierian occupied land and began taking money and resources. Dourzier and Skovadin both made their allies join the war. If you’ve managed to read all this. Let me know your favourite colour. Eventually, both sides couldn't afford to wage war, instead refusing to trade with one another, and making their allies follow suit. This would've had catastrophic effects had several groups of people secretly trades resources to one another. Eventually, both sides decided they couldn't afford to be isolated, opening up trade and travel about 20 odd years ago. Many are still reeling from the effects, and still converse whether the experiment going wrong was the goal or not. When do we start? A lonely fort stands on the banks of a mighty river. It is here the hardy bands of adventurers gather to plan their conquests of The Hill, the hulking mass that looms over this tiny settlement. The Hill is filled with monsters, they say, and an evil witch makes her home there. Still, no visitor to The Hill has ever returned to prove the rumours true or false. The thrill of discovery is too great to pass up, and only the river stands in the way. The adventurers' boat is waiting! I'm running an OSE Classic Fantasy campaign on Monday evenings (UK time). We're playing through B5 Horror on the Hill, a classic D&D module. Unfortunately, we've had a few drop outs recently and we're looking for a couple more to join us. We want to keep the group fairly small (no more than four or five players), so we're looking for folks who can commit to attending most weeks. Hello I am looking to DM a group in a Pathfinder 1e game. I am open to any and everyone who would like to play, I am newbie friendly. the 1 player I currently have is planning on playing a paladin with the Sword of the arcane order feat. My plan is to start at lvl 3, and I also am allowing content from 3.5 in the game too, for hit dice the minimum is half the dice max +1 each level, along with that I also do not allow the alignments LE, NE, CE, and CN unless it is a villains campaign. Troika! Is the "Abstract Painting of TTRPGs"  It's Role play heavy and has a, interpretive and collaborative world-building style. (Weekly Sunday 7pm to 10pm latest 11pm) [Relatively long form] System: [Troika!] System details - “A game where players will travel by eldritch portal and non-euclidean labyrinth and golden - sailed barge between the uncountable crystal spheres and Demi-plane strung delicately across the hump-backed sky.” (If that didn't make sense to you, it's because it doesn't. We have to make sense out of it together, and then that's how we create the world of Troika! ) System complexity - Easy System mechanics: The system uses the D6 or 2d6 for practically all roles and has a cool mechanic, where sometimes you need to roll low and sometimes you need to roll high. Practically every type of role you will do can be summarised on a cheat sheet small enough to be part of a character sheet. So if you understand DND or any other more complicated system, you'll be fine with this. System intention: the system allows you to interpret your character in a way that makes it your own. I will then take the feedback from how you created that character and then shape the world to reflect that character then allow you to shape large parts of it. Because of this it is very player input heavy and very role-play heavy. There is also quite a bit of combat that aims to be unique and socially orientated as well as a chaotic and unpredictable magic system that can lead to disastrous and hilarious consequences. The system encourages the creative use of skills in both combat and social encounters turning problems into a combination between a puzzle and a poem. Don't be afraid by the verboseness of some of the descriptions. They're just trying to get you to look up words so you can pick which of the definitions you think applies to the moment, thus making the world more of your creation based on your interpretation. System alterations: I will alter parts about the system to make it slightly less deadly. that includes using optional rules that they present in  the rulebook and some of that includes child proofing some of the crazier rules. Though keep in mind Death is a very normal thing in the game that is expected to happen and in fact encouraged because there isn't too much upward mobility for the backgrounds and it's actively fun to make a new character. Speaking of backgrounds, I will encourage you to randomly roll one but I may allow you to re-roll multiple times if you hate the one you get it first. I'd be thrilled if anyone would want to make their own background. There are explicit rules in the game for making them and as long as you don't make anything broken I'll probably will accept it if it's interesting. In fact they explicitly tell you not to worry about balancing because as long as every background feels fun to play, you'll be right. A tonal reference would be Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Crossed with The Little Prince, Dr. Seuss, Adventure time, Monty Python and the quest for the Holy Grail, Stephen universe, And I guess the Lord of the rings…. But as in the Ralph Bakshi adaptation….and most of all very specifically the Ralph Bakshi movie “Wizards”.  What I bring: Editable character sheets online. Hello my potential future players.  I have a 16-20 session self created module for you, should you be interested.  The premise of the game is that your character has been in purgatory for 100s of years because their lives were morally grey, and the gods can’t quite decide where to place your eternal souls.  The game is played mondays at 6 to 930 pm central us time. The game is very encounter based, and each chapter is a dungeon of some type.  Not all encounters are fights, obviously, some can be roleplay challenges, or skill challenges.  Or even tool challenges.  There is a fair bit of puzzle solving, especially in chapter five.  The encounters are meant to help set the theme and in some cases advance the story. Corellon has decided to recruit you to complete some missions for him,  because direct intervention has been banned by AO.  If you succeed, he will grant you redemption.  The game is broken into five chapters, each which exists independent of the other, and runs from level 4 to level 8.  Details of each mission are the google questionnaire. A little bit about me, I am in my mid 30s, and have been dipping in and out of dnd for about 25 years.  Mostly, but not entirely as a dm.  I am a fairly mellow guy, the only thing that will get under my skin in a hurry is a lack of respect for my and your fellow players' time.  If you do choose to sign up, I expect you to be on time. The game is run with the 2024 rules, any content from 2024 official books is allowed.  If you have your heart set on a class from 2014 books, and it has not been reprinted in 2024, it may be allowed on a case by case basis.  Feats/species/backgrounds all must be 2024. I use foundry vtt for my virtual table top, and I use discord for voice, but do not use video.  It is similar to roll20, but not exactly the same.  If you used roll20 before, you likely will be able to pick it up pretty seamlessly.  If not, I can help you learn the basics quickly I run games not strictly rules as written, but fairly close.  The intent is not to be a dick, but so that players know what their abilities do.  There are no surprise changes after you made your character.  I won’t decide your spell or ability is too strong and nerf it randomly.  Houserules are that each player gets one free heroic inspiration per session.  This one, and only this one, stacks with other inspirations.  Also, if your player gets knocked unconscious four times before long resting, they die. This is very unlikely to happen, and exists to dissuade recklessness to the point of absurdity.  I have run this game before, and the most we got to was two, and that was very unlucky for the player.  And finally, advantages and disadvantages “stack”.  There is no added benefit or penalty for having more, but if you have 2 advantages and one disadvantage, you get advantage, and vice versa.  I do all rolls openly, you know what the monsters roll, and you will see their dcs if they try to cast a spell on you.  Unless something changed with foundry version 13, you should be able to see their bonuses when monsters roll too.  If I tell you to roll a check, you get to know that dc as well.  The turn order will be visible to you as well.  I think the game is more fun when you have the information you need to make informed decisions. Hello hello my name is JJ, I'm 21, pronouns are they/them, and this is my first time posting on Reddit so sorry in advance if the formatting is wonky or if I did anything incorrectly. Any experience is welcome! After a long-term campaign coming to an end and a bit of DM burnout, I'm looking to do another campaign to remind myself what it's all about. I have been a dm since July 2021 and have had a campaign going for almost the entirety of those 4 and half years (hence the burnout).   The length of this campaign will be determined by player interest. And basically I want a campaign where the plot is mostly serious but the process and some quest bits are fun. Only the most devout of researchers think of this 'something' but even then they have almost nothing on this something. But then, during the beginning of the new year where suddenly, as if something was found or maybe something broke free, across the world prophets popped up all saying the same thing: "What was once forgotten shall return, O dear heroes hear my plea-" And after the word plea fell from their lips all prophets immediately passed out on the spot. When asked about it afterwards, they all could not remember the prophecy or fainting. Just a vague feeling of something entering their minds for a brief moment.  And in response to this new prophecy nations have started to steadily build armies, churches are suddenly recruiting more, and where you all come in, more people than ever have turned to adventuring. With the prophecy came dungeons. Popping up from nothing and holding glimpses to the past. Of course anyone with any interest in history is willing to pay a pretty piece for these hints to whatever that 'something' was.  Maybe you're a newfound prophet, maybe you are someone who was researching the past, maybe this was the final push to become an adventurer, maybe you're someone trying to take advantage of the chaos, maybe this has been your plan for a while and the prophecy is just a coincidence. This game is meant to be an introduction to Star Wars Saga edition (with a few house rules to help an older system feel more modern). No prior experience with the system is necessary, though a love of Star Wars is appreciated. This takes place in a modified Legends Continuity to allow for players to be members of the New Republic and Luke’s new Jedi Order. Important Star Wars events and canon characters will NOT be the focus. This is a game about adventure, character growth, and story opportunities, not lore and living in someone else’s shadow. Players will begin play at level 1, but quickly level past that. The main reason for such a low level start is to help players learn the system. Saga Edition resembles D&D 3rd edition in many ways, with updates to make it more functional. PCs are not likely to be equally capable in combat, but the system’s focus is less focused on war gamey aspects than D&D and Pathfinder. A character who thrives in diplomacy and skill will find themselves an invaluable member of the party as healing is slow, difficult, and costly. Saga edition is also perhaps the most multiclass friendly d20 type system, with house rules to make it even more so. There is a lot of information, but as patient Game Master (Or Star Master HAH) I am willing to spend time to individually help PCs build their characters. What I require from you is a passion for the game, a desire to make characters that are fun to run FOR and to roleplay with your fellow players, and a willingness to fit the setting and vibe. While the tensions between the U.G.N. and The Golden Horde heighten, a party of adventurers are sent out to North Silica along the Black Silver River to uncover an ancient artifact that could change the tide of the coming war entirely. Critical Mass: Chain Reaction is a Weird Fiction / Fantasy Adventure campaign set in the homebrew setting of ATYMOS, using the D&D5.5e rules, along with custom homebrew backgrounds, species, and subclasses. The tone of this campaign is light-horror post-apocalyptic fantasy, weird fiction with a lot of geopoliticial set pieces. It will mostly follow average, everyday adventurers from the world trying to navigate it while dealing with people from various factions and nations. LGBTQIA+ characters are expected and normalized in this setting. Be prepared for strange encounters, dealing with cruel monsters, and encountering deadly NPCs and monsters. I've been getting a small group of players together In order to try a ttrpg system I've been working on, it's completely playable and I have a rules doc if you would like. About the campaign This scenario is one of the longest in TTRPGs. The story is about travelling the world and investigating a larger conspiracy on a global scale. The focus is roleplaying and investigation, but it will have it's moments of combay, but I don't care much for that, nor does this system itself. As it's classic to CoC, combat is deadly and the threats increase as the story progresses, so be prepared to replace PCs and create new characters and be clever to avoid death or worse, insanity. Hello everyone! I intend to run a Rogue Trader campaign (by Fantasy Flight Games) using FoundryVTT with one seat available. All of the current players are personal friends and we'd like to welcome someone new to join us on this adventure.     Game will start running Friday the 23rd, jan 2026, at 7pm EST. Sessions will occur weekly after that, skipping sessions near or on major holidays. If you can't attend sometimes due to real life happening that's understandable, but regular attendance is expected and required.     A microphone is required, as well as Discord.     The ruleset is Rogue Trader, though the rules have been overhauled using Dark Heresy 2 and various homebrew rules to improve the experience. It’s High Fantasy with some cool magic technology to match, there’s been plenty of strife between magic users and non magic users, so in the modern day it’s been regulated to anyone practicing magic must hold a Royal Pass. At first only the Royal Mages, an elite force in the Royal Guards, carried the pass but soon the newly established Mage Guilds were permitted to test and regulate the passes. Another new development in the southern empire of Achilleia was the excavation of a tunnel into the ancient Sun Elven Dominion, allowing quests into the cursed lands to search for artifacts. We are currently a party of four people (1 DM and 3 players) that are looking for a fourth player. The campaign has been ongoing for 11 sessions and a player had to leave due to unforeseen factors. This puzzle adventure follows an enigmatic archmage and musician who uses magic and music to create a demiplane of memories. The hall is a place filled with echoes of the past, carefully crafted illusions brought to life. Your guide Anari invites/summons visitors into this space, giving them the opportunity to earn an audience with the archmage...unbenown to him. Characters must solve a number of puzzle rooms to obtain the memory's Song Sphere. When enough Song Spheres from the rooms have been obtained the path to The Composer will open. An audience with the archmage allows the players to ask him one question each that he will answer truthfully to his knowledge before sending them home/elsewhere. I run this as a 2 random room one shot or a 5-6 session short adventure.  I am always looking for players to run through this to test with. --- This adventure is meant to be an emotive piece and includes some darker themes such as depression, addiction and death. I want everyone to feel comfortable and safe, so if these themes are not something you want to engage with this may not be the game for you. The dungeon can be run all as all 10 rooms chronologically or as shorter sessions where only a few of the rooms are done. I will decide with the groups which format they would like to play. The Project This is built off a wider story I wrote and ran from a different platform that I am currently working to convert to vTTRPG. I have spent over 130 hours DMing this dungeon and far far more building the initial sets and remaking them as maps. At this stage the focus is primarily on the puzzles so I can improve the maps, hint system and gauge pacing and difficulty for VTTRPG. There is NO COMBAT in these initial one shots, it will be introduced in later versions. It is designed so that it works as a stand alone  short adventure or modular to fit the needs of a larger campaign. I aim to create an emotive experience that utilises music to enhance both the storytelling and the atmosphere while tugging at your heart strings. Hi, I am looking for a DM willing to run Curse of Strahd for my group. I have a group of 3, possible 4 adventurers looking to start a weekly campaign sometime around the start of February. We are looking to meet around 6:00 PM CST for about 3-4 hours per session, though we can push that back if needed. As for which day of the week, we are flexible enough to do any day except Sunday. All of us in the group are over the age of 21, but have no problem with keeping a DM a little younger or older, as we typically keep our sessions PG 13. As for the roleplay, combat, and exploration split preferences, my group usually enjoys around a 30/40/30 split. Hi, I'm running a survival kinda dnd 5e 2014 game. Usually it runs twice a month  on Sundays.   It starts at 20:00(GMT +2) and runs for 2-3 hours.  We have 6 players currently, but it seems only 2 can attend most of the game sessions. Since we would need at least 3 to be present for the game session to happen, then i'm looking for 1 more player. I use Fantasy ground Unity as VTT and discord as a voice channel. Method of getting stats is rolling dice . You get to roll only once. Except when you get 2 or more 10's. Then you can roll again if you want Since I have most of the species and classes "books"  then there are a lot of choices if we talk about those.  Since it is a survival game then all I can say about the game is what classes are other players.  Also that I try to run it as a mix of sandbox and official campaigns. Meaning if you want you can choose another campaign and don't need to finish only one campaign. It has to make sense story wise though.  I run more combat oriented game. Hello,  I'm looking for some people to play with after I get home from work during the week. Monday-Friday, I work from 3:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. CST the next day. That has me getting home from work at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday - Saturday. So, I'm looking for people who are up late and looking for a chance to game together. Ideally this would be hosted on Foundry VTT, since I have a server for it already and can keep it updated and good to go. I would prefer not to DM again, so I'm hoping someone on this fucked schedule with me might be willing to, but if not, the backup plan would be to run through all of the Dungeon Crawl one shots with a rotating DM each time. Besides that, I personally don't care too much about strictly rules as written, I enjoy setting aside rules for the sake of cool factor and fun. Howdy! I'm looking for members for a Crown of the Oathbreaker game, an adventure by Elderbrain. The setting is Renaissance era in technology and art, just with goblins and dragons running around. The theme is dark fantasy with heavy fey influence and a splash of eldritch horror. The adventure itself is level 1-15 but if this game gets past that I'm happy to keep going. Happy to provide more info on the setting in DM's after work, preferably on discord as it's easier to share files. The game would have a meet and greet session 0 next Friday. I'm looking for 1~2 players as the group I have now is 3 strong. I'm looking for players who value roleplay and playing smart in combat. I'm a wargamer at heart so while I'm not going to have a table that requires min-maxing I am not going to pull a punch on easy kills. Haha let me first start this by saying that the recent release of season 1 of Might Nein has triggered me and my friends want to play in a homebrew dnd campaign. All of are over 21, have at the very least 2 years of experience with 5e 2014, and have varying experience with R20 and Owlbear Rodeo). With that, we would prefer having a DM that is over 21 as well. You are part of its army, tasked with a mystery to solve - what caused the Night. Night is a zone of anomalies east of the Unforgiven, made by him through unknown means. It's home to many Sleeping, oddities and artifacts, and around it there is a system of strongholds made to contain what's inside.
