A hard no for me is toxic behavior at the table. I try to be accepting of people and expect that from others. I have been a GM in the past but going through GM burnout at the moment. Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'd like to get back into it. I prefer GMing because I enjoy world building and long-term campaigns, delving deeper into the preset worlds to give them my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I like to get the chance to do that as well from time to time. I'm also launching a paid Vampire: The Masquerade 5e soon, so I'm willing to trade seats if our tastes and playstyles match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I have experience in Vampire: The Masquerade, and would love to play it and other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have no experience in Shadowdark or Mothership, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror experience. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors, librarians looking for eldritch tomes, and tomb raiding archaeologists. When I GM, I lean towards Rule of Cool, and I favor players who invest creativity in their characters. Hello, I am an avid TTRPG enthusiest and have read the entirety of rule books for advanced DnD 2nd edition. I have a large knowledge of Pathfinder 1e as well as Vampire the masquerade 5e and DnD 5e. I also have read a large amount of books for other rpgs including mask a new generation, vampire the requiem, mutants and masterminds 2e, the older world of darkness editions, marvel heroic rpg, and more. I am anxious with new people, but once I learn the group vibe I play my charecters with joy and enthusiasm. I am intrested in playing with a group that I can be myself in and I will listen to any concerns others have without jugment and I hope for the same in return. I am willing to try any system if I can get my hands on a copy of the rule book.

33M, EST time zone I enjoy engaging with themes of "no good guys", moderate to extreme horror and flawed but earnest characters. I love roleplaying and usually build sheets to reflect a character concept or personality instead of optimized stats. I'm not interested in NSFW roleplay but I will engage with NSFW themes if they fit the game setting. I'm happy to tailor my character concepts and degree of gory detail to whatever the rest of the table is comfortable with. Most of my roleplay experience has been text based or play by post, but I've also played and helped run several campaigns both online and in person that lasted anywhere from months to 2+ years. I have a learning disability that makes math and learning new rulesets difficult (dyscalculia) but I do my best to compensate for it through cheat sheets and reference cards I make for myself. It's a me problem but a little patience while I learn is greatly appreciated. World of Darkness is the setting I have the most experience with, particularly Mage20, Vampire20, and the By Night Studios LARP system. I have a general understanding of WH40K and have read some of the ttrpg sourcebooks but my play experience is limited to some of the video games and a few novels (Rogue Trader, Darktide, Mechanicus, the Night Lords trilogy, Infinite and the Divine). I am tentatively open to systems not specifically tagged but would prefer to avoid DnD (any edition), Daggerheart, Fate, and Apocalypse World/PbtA. Other non-ttrpg favorites include Destiny/Destiny 2, Mistborn, splatterpunk fiction, the Cthulhu mythos, and Murderbot Diaries. I am generally available between 5 to 10pm American EST on Mondays and Wednesday-Friday but there is some variability on Fridays, as I run my own game on that day once or twice a month.

Completely new player wanting to learn to play dnd(other ttrpg's welcome but I want to learn 5e preferably). I've never played before. Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Over a decade plus of playing RPGs but not nearly enough as I'd have liked. I'm east coast based and work regular work hours, but down to fit my schedule with whatever works best with a group and don't mind varying timezones! My favourite crew to watch is the Oxventurers Guild, so I’m looking for similar rule‑of‑cool vibes – fast and loose when it makes the story more epic or hilarious, with room for gallows humour and messy characters. Hi I live in Gran kommune, one hour north of Oslo in Norway. I have been playing and GMing since the 1980s. I believe that i am a suportive player. I some times struggle with atttention, so I prefere shorter sessions, especially online. My GM style is balanced, but with a tendencie for "Action bias". I am not strong on "tactical combat" and optimal character-builds, and prefere creativity, rulings over rules and theater of the mind. (Even thogh I own four 3d printers and to much terrain and miniatures :) ) I prefere to run scenarioes and campeigns with some investigation, exploration and mystery over classic dungeon crawls.

I like in depth wolrd building and moral choices that matter and may not have a clear good or bad anwser.

Hi! I am a very experienced player/GM that's been in the TTRPG scene for 12 years now, going through a number of systems and always learning more. I have a heavy focus on the role playing part of the game that still enjoys combat, especially trying to make silly or gimmicky combat styles work. I prefer a more serious tone of game with jokes made by the players rather than everything being a joke from the outset, but I do love having a few good laughs a session (without going too off track). I've both DM'd and played for most of the games listed in my experience and most of then for more than a year apiece, but I'm always willing to learn more and generally prefer a rullings over rules approach that lets players and GMs be a bit more out of the box with their thinking and improv-ing

Hi, I'm an adult in San Diego, CA looking to find like minded folks to play table top games with. I'm not locked into a system - people, vibes, and having a good time mean more to me than mechanics. Open to in-person or online gaming. I have kids, so working around family schedule is a consideration. Generally, I lean to more narrative gaming than combat oriented. A combat map + hours to resolve combat is a turn off to me. I've played a long 5e campain in the past (over a year with weekly online / Discord meetups), but i am not so interested in most 5e anymore. I've run some short Mothership 0e and Mork Borg campaigns as well as a number of one shots in other systems.

Greetings adventurers! I'm Dan, I'm a ttrpg player and game master looking for more opportunities to enjoy stories with good folks! My main focus in any game (as either gm or player) is the collaborative storytelling experience. It's the single most important part of the experience to me. To that end, I find that the details of that experience changes depending on the system that is being used. If combat is a core part of that system (like in dnd) I expect there to be some combat. Right now I am most interested in heroic fantasy stories and gravitate towards games and systems in that genre (Daggerheart, DnD, PF2E, etc) but I am open minded and in general interested in branching out to new systems. As a father of 3 and a husband, my hard lines are no sexual violence and no violence to children. I am also not interested in my character being involved in romance with either pcs or npcs. I look forward to sharing many adventures and making new friends!

Hi y'all! My name is Doe, and I'm a fairly new player to the ttrpg world! I recently got into it after my workplace hosted a oneshot dnd campaign and it was honestly really fun, and pushed me into looking into more games like that! So far the joirney has been interesting, and I want to learn more and more about different TTRPG's I can play in and world buils with any group willing to take a newbie under their wing. I prefer to play through discord voice call since it's easier for me. And my schedule changes bi-weekly. For instance, if I'm free on Saturday this week, next week i'll be working but I'll be free on Thursday, and then it interchanges again and again till further notice. I like to write, draw, listen to music and play Zenless Zone Zero. I've spent a pretty buck on that game so if i'm not doing any of the first three listed I'm probably grinding away on ZZZ lol.
