I don't often play as a player but when I do, I create a fully living and breathing character that will fit in the group and gameplay that we're about to play. My characters want to go out on adventures, they have rough edges and light backstories so they can either evolve within the game or just be the reason of why I go out to adventure. For me it's about to create memorable experience for everyone and I include all forms of (silly) voices for all tones of play. From goofy to full on serious moments. Be aware that I actually hate D&D since the fourth edition at it is to this day and for all the future ahead completely unbalanced, extremely broken and with an anti conumser corporation behind it that openly admits they want to do the same they did with Magic the Gathering: Bringing in 'Universe Beyond' with the goal to get more money - not to please fans - to get money. If you support this, you really should avoid me as player and gamemaster. I am just sick of the D&D universe or better: WotC destroying another branch with anti-consumer behaviour and fans defending them as if they're the best company out there. PF2e alternate rules I play with: - Proficiency without level bonus (I want to have all characters be viable from early to end game. No bloated numbers.) - Ancestry Paragon (I want to refine my ancestry.) - Gradual Ability Boosts (Smoother boosts) - Automatic Bonus Progression (Be honest: You give out runes anyway. Forgo the "You find this awesome weapon" and let characters advance with their weaponry on a more natural line) - Free Archetype (Not a must but it truly rounds out any character idea one might have. Level * 1,5 = Actual Level. Be aware of that.) - No house rules. PF2e is balanced enough with the alternate rules already. We're not playing D&D.

Efim
Hello! I'm Efim, quite a player of Shadowrun and (to lesser extent) Cyberpunk 2020. Have some experience with Exalted and Starfinder, and tried to GM PF1e (which died due to schedules). Thanks to being deep into CP2020 and SR, I'm quite good with both RP part of the things and the combat part. I prefer live text games, but voice games and long-term PBPs are also fine (assuming they don't die within a week). While in games, I prefer less linear, more sandoxy types of games where we can do smart things with what we're given, make up some indirect ideas and execute those to solve whatever issues there are. It applies to when combat starts as well - as fun it is to throw fireballs, it gets a bit old after you do it 20, 30, 50, however many times, so some smart approaches is what I try to do whenever possible.  Thanks to my pretty ezpz work schedule, I'm more or less capable to play text games at any time of the day except when I'm asleep (midnight-7 AM in GMT+3 zone), and voice games after ~4.30 PM. Can stay for night sessions too, but prefer not to if possible. I also prefer for sessions to not be more than 6 hours if possible, because it takes quite a bit of a strain on attention and not falling asleep, heh.

Hi! I'm a 32 y.o. guy from Sweden looking to get into DnD, Especially into various types of support roles. Right now I'm looking for games that are: - low level (1-3)  - one-shots that last at most 2 sessions to learn more and get more experience with the game. - a group of at most 5 + GM. - is fine with me doing low-roleplay since it's something I never did before I am not good with detailed descriptions of gore. Vague descriptions are fine. As long as everyone is PG13 and aren't there to ruin the fun for everyone I'm fine with playing with anyone! According to CSET I'm available to start games: Mon-Thu 20:00 - 1:00 Fri 20:00 - 3:00 Sat 11:00 - 3:00 Sun 11:00 - 1:00 Currently it's CEST, If you are looking at CET please remove an hour from the time you see here!

Hiya, my names Darcy and I'm 16m. I'm totally new to most board games, and any TTRPG really but they always seemed fun, so I thought I'd give them a try. I live in Northern Ireland so my timezones BST right now and as far as availability goes I'm good pretty much any day except mondays I'd prefer something less serious and a little more lighthearted, and of course something more beginner friendly.

Hello all, I am an experienced GM that have been running and playing many types of ttrpgs since the early 80's.  I have been running games online for sometime now and am comfortable using several VTTs as well as Discord.  I prefer to GM over being a player and have ran a variety of ttrpg systems on- and off- line. When it comes to gaiming, I can be relied on to make the schedule regularly, barring health and some holidays. While I love all sorts of gaming styles, my preferred gaming includes a mix of strong roleplaying and combat.  I really enjoy getting into character and experiencing others do the same. I live in the Pacific Time Zone and usually am avaliable during the week for gaming at 4pm or later, Sundays is special as I have a more open schedule from 8 am to midnight. My current preferred games are Marvel Multiverse,  2d20 Infinity,  and Warhammer 4th ed (in-order of perference).  I might be willing to run other games as well, but the above take priority.

Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time.  I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone.  I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight.  I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd.  So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me.  I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

I am just a dude that wants to play some games and find a cool group of people who share a love of this great game. Im a very new player, I've only attempted to play by myself, because none of my friends will try it out. I believe I make up my lack of game time by watching the people play on the dungeons and dragons YouTube channel and learning what I can. That way I won't be in complete darkness when I do find a group. I really love the roll play aspect, world building/exploration, and combat. I would really love to learn how to be a great DM as well.

I’m a Game Master with 20+ years of experience running character-driven campaigns focused on roleplay, political intrigue, mystery, and meaningful player choices. I love building living worlds where the actions of one group can ripple across future stories, and where characters matter just as much as the plot. My games tend to lean cinematic and collaborative, blending dramatic storytelling with moments of tension, humor, horror, and triumph. I enjoy systems like City of Mist, Defiant, D&D, Shadowdark, and narrative-heavy games where player creativity can genuinely shape the world. Expect layered NPCs, evolving factions, moral dilemmas, and settings that react to what the players do rather than waiting for them to follow a script. I’m heavily roleplay-focused, but I also enjoy tactical combat when it serves the story. I prefer games where combat has stakes and meaning rather than existing purely as filler. Whether it’s noir investigations in a mythic city, desperate survival against cosmic horror, or political maneuvering between supernatural powers, I try to create games that feel immersive and emotionally engaging. At the table, I value communication, reliability, and collaboration. I run Session 0s, discuss boundaries and expectations openly, and use safety tools to make sure everyone can enjoy mature themes comfortably. My goal is always to create a welcoming environment where players can invest deeply in their characters without worrying about being talked over or sidelined. Logistics-wise, I primarily run online games through Roll20 and Discord, typically in EST evenings. I’m comfortable teaching new players and enjoy helping people learn systems, though I also love having experienced roleplayers who enjoy diving into character and setting lore. If you enjoy strong atmosphere, memorable characters, worldbuilding, and games where your choices actually matter, you’ll probably fit in well at my table.

Hi! i'm siri, a queer nonbinary girl looking for groups outside of your standard DnD fare. There's so many games out there waiting to be played, and it's hard to convince your RPG group to do that. To fix that, i'm looking for stuff i haven't played before. i'm particularly interested in Shadowdark and other OSR games, right now, and also a cool cyberpunk game (the setting, though i will totally also try Cyberpunk, the RPG).  i have a lot of experience playing all kinds of systems, but mostly DnD, Pathfinder 2e, and PbtA games. i have a lot of time on my hands, particularly on weekday mornings (CET). i'm not unwilling to DM, but i really only have experience with prepared campaigns, so far, so i'm still mostly a beginner.

Hey there! I'm currently looking for someone interested in running a long term 1x1/duet style DnD campaign over Discord through PBP. I’m completely new to actually playing but I’ve consumed a lot of DnD media and have been wanting to finally jump in myself. I’d love something beginner friendly where I can learn while we play rather than needing to know every single rule immediately. What I’m looking for: ++ A story heavy and character focused experience ++ Long term progression and sandbox style exploration ++ Collaborative storytelling and character development ++ A slower paced, immersive vibe over rapid fire posting ++ Someone patient and willing to help a newer player learn (please be okay with possibly answering a million questions lol) ++ Interesting NPCs and relationships ++ Real consequences and choices that matter Open to: ++ Homebrew ++ Official settings ++ Mixed roleplay/combat/exploration balance ++ Ongoing side plots and character arcs ++ Playing within an already established setting/world or building a world together A little about me as a player: ++ I’m a bit shy at first, especially with voice/group settings which is why duet style PBP appeals to me so much ++ I really love detailed writing and collaborative storytelling ++ I’m pretty active and can usually reply multiple times a day depending on schedule! If you've read this far and this sounds like something you'd enjoy running, feel free to message me with your DM style, the kind of world/story you enjoy and any ideas you might already have brewing. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you!

I can not host at my place at the moment, but I can still host a game else where! I currently dont have a car, so please bare with me! I don't care for online games, and would love to find a place to play at! For most of my homebrew I use basic Palladium mechanics, which means I'm super comfortable with it, but i'm willing to trying DND, and even other kinds of games as long as you lead me through it! I am LGBTQ/Queer, so this is a safe space for you as well! I got by He/They. I'm dying to host or play with a small group (usually 5 or less) but i'm willing to larger groups too. If you use generative AI at all, consider our arrangement off before it even started. I support human creativity, and as a digital artist, character designer, and world builder I'd take your handmade doodles or sloppy notes ANYDAY over gen AI slop. pick up a pencil and learn. ye <3 also this page will be added too so check often!

Hi  I live in Gran kommune, one hour north of Oslo in Norway.  I have been playing and GMing since the 1980s. I believe that i am a suportive player. I some times struggle with atttention, so I prefere shorter sessions, especially online.   My GM style is balanced, but with a tendencie for "Action bias". I am not strong on "tactical combat"  and optimal character-builds, and prefere creativity, rulings over rules and theater of the mind. (Even thogh I own four 3d printers and to much terrain and miniatures :) )  I prefere to run scenarioes and campeigns with some investigation, exploration and mystery over classic dungeon crawls.

Hello. I go by Net. I'm a creative with a background in collaborative storytelling that started long before tabletop. My roots are in book-based roleplay and written fiction, so character voice, motivation, and internal consistency matter a lot to me. I carry that same approach to the table. My TTRPG experience is honest but specific. I've played a handful of One Piece-themed D&D homebrew one-shots and two proper D&D sessions, so I'm genuinely newer to true tabletop compared to some. That said, I'm currently active in a living campaign built on a hybrid D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, and Naruto 5e ruleset, and I've picked things up fast. I'm not afraid to ask questions, and I do the reading. I also have special needs that can make processing dense information a bit slower. It has never stopped me from being a full, committed player, but I wanted to be upfront about it. Playstyle: Roleplay-first. I build characters from the inside out, starting with a concept, a voice, and a reason for existing in the world. I enjoy mechanical depth and I'm not against combat, but what keeps me at the table is character work, political texture, and a story that rewards investment. Morally complex scenarios are a plus. What I bring: Genuine investment in the shared story and a strong creative instinct shaped by years of writing and collaborative fiction. Outside of tabletop I work with streamers and artists on creative projects, so I think about storytelling and world-building with some intentionality. Inspirations: One Piece is a big one for tone. I'm drawn to stories that balance levity with real consequence, and worlds that feel like they existed before the players arrived. Logistics: Based in the UK (GMT). Online games preferred. I'm a reliable, consistent presence when I commit. Reservations: Pure dungeon-crawl with minimal story isn't really my thing. I want to care about what's happening and who I'm sharing the table with.

Jared
My name is Jared [He/Him/HIs], and I'm a Queer POC TTRPG player who's been in the space for over ten years. (Getting all of the potentially controversial things out of the way from the start, so there are no surprises lol.) As a player to the GM: I try to keep my investment to games as the same level as the GM invests within the game. I tend to match energy with whatever the GM establishes they are excited about. For a game with a GM who has spent extensive time and effort on exploration, I will naturally create a character that has good survival and perception so they can show what they've prepared. For a game with a GM that has created complex lore, I'll build a character with good history and int skills to make sure I can pick up on it. For a game with a GM who focuses on tactical combat, I'll build a character with resilience and a good balance of short-term and long-term abilities to withstand days full of violence. Either way, I try to clock what aspects the GM is most excited about working with for the campaign and work to find a way to help make those aspects shine. As a player in a party: I tend to be a good 'fill' player when it comes to new tables. Until I'm familiar with a group, I tend to take on mechanical and social roles within a group that allow everyone to get along and get to know each other. I'll try to drum up conversations to gauge where everyone is with character creation, interact with quiet characters during the game if it seems they haven't been quite as involved, and build characters with supporting roles and abilities to help keep characters alive, so fellow players can tell the stories they work hard on coming up with. As I get more comfortable, I generally fall back and find the best ways to cultivate good energy and fun within the game and try to be the oil that makes the machine run just a bit smoother.   As a player of system: I tend to enjoy the mechanics of the system just as much as I enjoy embodying the character I am playing. The 'PG' in TTRPG is just as important as the 'R' is for me, and oftentimes it means that I create characters that utilize the 'Rules as Written' just as often as they utilize the 'Rule of Cool'. If I play within your game, expect my character design choices to be just as nuanced as my roleplay choices. I tend to build my characters with flaws, motivations, and reasoning to aspire to the heights of what is possible within a given world and setting, but I also build them with a desire to live and will often mechanically pick choices that allow them to survive to ensure they can accomplish said goals. While it is admittedly a form of powergaming, I often use it to support the party, often defaulting to creating characters that fulfil the 'support' or 'frontline' roles instead of flashier roles like 'DPS' and 'Face' as they don't suit how my comforts.
