The Undying War

For those in the Jacksonville, FL area, especially Clay County/Fleming Island/Middleburg,  I am looking to start up an in-person Castles & Crusades game soon, likely on Wednesday or Thursday nights. We have a really good venue, so it’s just a matter of gauging interest.  Experience: New and veteran players more than welcome!  I am running again after a few years away, but have a lot of experience behind the screen with a lot of games. I have run longer campaigns of Rolemaster, Rifts, Savage Worlds, RuneQuest 6, and Castles & Crusades, along with multiple one-shots at conventions (including Palladium Fantasy and Microlite74).  Content: Expect some level of homebrew additions—lots of sandbox play, some house rules and classes I’ve already had or am kicking the tires on. C&C usually “feels” a lot like AD&D 1e in actual play, but with later d20 rules. I'm really looking to get back to the "sweet spot" that C&C represents. Not interested in 5e, Narrative Storygames, or Pathfinder 2e at this time (just not my thing, just putting it out there since those are common entries).  Play/Running Style: Encounters can be deadly; exploration, diplomacy, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and combat all have their place. What happens is all up to the decisions made around the table. Appropriate for most ages (keeping it pretty clean)—we just game. Friendly to new players--we will even have characters you can go with if you don't want or know how to roll one up. Hygiene and basic civility a must.

The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.

Hey I am D, I am searching for 5-6 recruits for a less than good campaign, it's not outright evil but you will be on the wrong side of the law. It is a high fantasy campaign set in a homebrewed world with previous campaigns run in it. It will be a longer campaign with sessions being 3-4 hours weekly. Players will start at level 2 and max out at level 16. The lore long story short, it is a continent called Andrastae with three main countries and one major religion. The party will be starting in the Kal-shien dynasty. This land is home to all of the non standard DND races beast races, fey, and the like. It is a very nepotism based society with your living conditions and social standing being tied to your ancestry, the more powerful your ancestral spirits the better off you are. Kal-shien is a mix of nature and technology, being far more advanced than the other countries.  The party will be joining up with a syndicate faction called The Iron Sands, a well established group that does racketeering, match fixing, various contriband, theft rings and even the rumored occasional assassination. As part of your backstory include a reason you would want to join this syndicate with ambitions to climb within it. I allow players to play any official class, subclass, and race, if it's in an official book I am cool with it. If it's in a book by a content creator I'm generally okay with it I just have to look it over. Other than that no other homebrew. I would be wanting to do a session 0 tomorrow if I have enough players, if any of this interests you dm me on here Disclaimers, I don't care if you use AI some art I will use is AI, I play DND to escape the real world for a time so I don't want politics at the table. Being lgbt isn't politics and is welcomed at the table. I would prefer people over 21, and this is a no horny table (if you say you are visiting a brothel that's fine but there will be no descriptions) no flirting with NPCs or any PCs. And no hurting kids, just not something I vibe with
