The Adventure Game Engine (AGE) is a tabletop roleplaying game system designed by Chris Pramas and published by Green Ronin Publishing, first introduced in the Dragon Age Roleplaying Game, an officially licensed adaptation of BioWare's video game series. Rather than staying tied to that one setting, AGE was generalized into a standalone toolkit that Green Ronin has since reused across a growing family of otherwise unrelated game lines: Fantasy AGE, Modern AGE, The Expanse Roleplaying Game, Blue Rose: The AGE Roleplaying Game of Romantic Fantasy, and Cthulhu Awakens. Each line shares the same dice math and character-building vocabulary while reskinning them for a different genre, from grim high fantasy to hard-science-fiction space opera. Description Sit down at any AGE table and the character sheet looks familiar whatever the setting: a handful of ability scores, a page of Focuses that narrow down what a character is actually good at, some Talents, and a Health track that goes down rather than up. What changes by line is who's being played and what the group is doing with them. Dragon Age and Fantasy AGE put players in a class-based, sword-and-sorcery world built on the same tropes as the video games. Modern AGE drops the classes in favor of a freeform, contemporary or near-future toolkit for playing civilians, agents, or specialists; The Expanse puts players on a scraping-by crew in a hard-edged solar system where violence is fast and often permanent; Blue Rose asks for heroes of a deliberately hopeful, consent-based fantasy nation. The Game Master narrates outcomes and calls for rolls, and underneath every one of those settings sits the same rhythm: roll, hope for doubles, and spend what's earned on a stunt table built for the scene in front of you.

Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game - retroactively nicknamed Star Wars d6 to distinguish it from later games sharing the same title - is the original licensed Star Wars tabletop RPG, designed by Greg Costikyan and published by West End Games from 1987 until the company lost the license in 1998. It ran on the D6 System, adapted from rules Costikyan and colleagues had built for the 1986 Ghostbusters RPG, and its emphasis on speed and cinematic flair over rules complexity made it a strong match for the trilogy's pace.  The game passed through three main rulebook versions - 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, and 2nd Edition Revised and Expanded - before the license moved to Wizards of the Coast for a d20 version in 2000, and later to Fantasy Flight Games (2012-2020) and then Edge Studio, an Asmodee subsidiary, who currently hold it. It won the Origins Award for Best Roleplaying Rules in 1987, and its sourcebooks were considered canonical enough that Timothy Zahn was reportedly handed a box of them as reference material when writing the Thrawn trilogy - Fantasy Flight Games released a deluxe 30th Anniversary reprint of the original rulebook and sourcebook in 2018. Description Playing Star Wars d6 means playing smugglers, rebels, bounty hunters, or Force-sensitive heroes across the classic trilogy era - and, through later sourcebooks, well beyond it - using a system built to move fast and feel cinematic rather than simulate every detail. Skill checks roll a pool of six-sided dice tied to a broad Attribute, like Dexterity or Knowledge, plus any specific skill dice a character has invested in, with one die always a different color: the Wild Die, which can either blow a roll wide open on a 6 or threaten a complication on a 1.  It's a rules-light, pulpy game built to run a session the way the original trilogy actually plays - fast banter, faster blaster fights, and Force powers that feel genuinely special.

Merak is a map maker for worldbuilders. Five kinds of map live in one document: a political map of Earth, an editable Earth with real terrain, a blank world, a fantasy map and a city board, and factions, units, labels, cities and lore carry across all of them. Land can be raised, lowered, smoothed, flattened, roughened and worn down with droplet erosion; biomes paint on top; a thin river tool cuts channels without shattering the coast. The world generator builds plates, mountain chains and weathered coastlines from a single seed, and the Planet Advisor checks whether the result could exist at all, whether rivers have anywhere to drain, whether the biomes suit their latitude. An elevation probe reads back true metres and slope, and any map can be viewed in 3D or wrapped onto a shader globe. Custom empires are drawn freehand with a lasso, and a coast mode clips the outline to the actual shoreline so borders follow the water instead of cutting across it. The arsenal and battle system has faction tinting and stacking counts, alongside commanders carrying portraits, ranks, decorations and an order of battle. Operational arrows play out as scripted advances with per-province combat. On a battle map, Fight animates the whole clash: infantry and armour close to melee under a counter system, artillery bombards from range with splash damage, aircraft strike fast and hard, and badly wounded units break off to a field hospital, heal, and return to the line. The timeline holds the progress of the map over the years. Lore notes form a small in-map wiki placed anywhere or pinned to a city, unit or flag, and linked to one another. Raster paints layers with blend modes, pressure and grain; an Asset Studio for custom symbols; flag and insignia makers; a colour studio. Finished maps exported as PNG up to 16K.
