D&D Beyond

Ülevaade

D&D Beyond is the official digital toolset for
Dungeons & Dragons https://groupfinder.eu/library/dungeons-dragons-55e-2024
, originally launched in 2017 and acquired by Wizards of the Coast in 2022. It serves as the primary ecosystem for the 5th Edition ruleset and the updated 2024 "5.5e" core rules. In 2026, the platform is undergoing a massive "Game Platform" rebuild, moving away from its original hard-coded architecture to a data-driven engine. This allows the platform to support more complex customization and the new "Season" based content release model introduced this year. Description D&D Beyond is the definitive "companion app" for D&D. It combines a high-speed character builder, a digital library of all official sourcebooks, and a native 2D virtual tabletop called Maps. The platform is designed to be the easiest way to play the game, handling all calculations, spell slots, and inventory management automatically. With the 2026 "Season of Horror" and "Season of Magic" updates, it has become a living platform that delivers monthly content drops and themed community events directly to player character sheets. System Overview & Key Features
The 2026 Game Engine Rebuild Wizards of the Coast is currently rebuilding the backend of D&D Beyond from the ground up. This move allows the site to finally support highly requested features like custom classes, complex homebrew non-magical equipment, and more responsive rules validation that doesn't rely on legacy code from 2017.
The Maps VTT The integrated 2D virtual tabletop is now free for all users to host games as of late 2025. It features "Quickplay Maps" for all official adventures, allowing GMs to launch a session with pre-placed tokens and fog of war. New "Reveals" functionality lets GMs share high-resolution gallery art and monster lore directly to players' screens during play.
New "Quickbuilder" Flow To improve onboarding, the 2026 character builder features an "art-forward" Quickbuilder mode. It guides players through the most impactful decisions—like subclass and background—while using optimized defaults for smaller details, allowing a new hero to be ready for play in under five minutes.
Content Sharing (Master Tier) The Master Tier subscription remains the most popular for groups. It allows a single user to share their entire digital library—including the new 2026 Ravenloft: The Horror Within and Arcana Unleashed books—with up to 12 players across five different campaigns.
Legacy vs Core Toggles Following community feedback, the platform now features robust toggles to enable or disable "Legacy" (2014) content. This ensures that groups can choose to stick strictly to the 2024 rules or mix in older subclasses and spells without the interface becoming cluttered or confusing.
Digital/Physical Integration Most new 2026 book releases now feature a "Physical + Digital" bundle. When you buy a hardcover from the official store, you receive an instant unlock code for D&D Beyond, ensuring your character builder and digital library are updated before the physical book even arrives in the mail.

Historia of Sonnubris: Remembrance Era

Hi all, my name is Asteres. My partner and I are looking to fill 4 seats for a long term game and make some friends. We are both long term enjoyers of the hobby myself having around a decade of experience as a dm with some sprinkles of being a player. My partner has played a multitude of campaigns with about 8 years of experience. The setting is a dying world clinging to the past for survival called Sonnubris. Civilizations have been limited in their ability to thrive by a world-spanning storm called Adormiendus. The general vibes are grim, mysterious, and there are some aspects of eldritch horror. These civilizations called Historia cling to aspects of the past in order to carve out hospitable places to live, the surface world being ravaged by the storm. What You Can Expect From the Game: - A chance to make a hyper-personalized character with flavors and features to support your vision for the character. - Homebrewed abilities, items, monsters, and approved unofficial content. - Discord for voice, Owlbear Rodeo for Virtual Tabletop (mixed with plenty of theater of the mind. - A campaign with a good balance between combat , roleplay and exploration that all contribute to the overall narrative with inspirations drawn from some potentially familiar worlds (Hollow Knight, Dark Souls, Gurren Lagan to name a few) - A narrative focused more on the characters at the table, their backstories and relationships. What You Can Expect Outside of a Game: - A welcoming and inclusive space for plenty of fun and good vibes. - We are hoping that not only are we able to find a group of players that can get together reliably and play every weekend, but also individuals interested in being friends who hang out during the week. Whether that be playing games in a discord call together, watching a show/youtube, or just vibing. Some of my favorite pieces of media are KOTOR games, the souls games, Hollow Knight, Fire Emblem, etc. My partner enjoys yuri, roguelikes and being autistic about sports. Game Info: Time & Date: Saturdays, 5 PM-10 PM EST System: D&D 5e (2024) (with plenty of homebrew) Homebrew Policy: - Homebrew is heavily utilized by the DM with custom house rules, mechanics and monsters - Player character homebrew is allowed pending review by DM - Several curated homebrew options will be made available at the time of character creation for those interested Who We Are Looking For: - People who bring enthusiasm to the table and show up eager to play - Players who focus on collaboration among the other players and player characters - People looking to be a part of a friend group, not just a D&D table - Someone looking to learn and attach to the lore of the world - Someone consistent who can make sessions regularly If you’ve made it this far and are still interested, please fill out the attached form and we’ll reach out to you! The Ashen Crescent

Homebrew Homebrew
Rollimängukeskne Rollimängukeskne
What kind of game is this? This is not a casual dungeon crawl. The campaign has already begun, the party is currently level 7 and mid-way through the first act, and we are seeking new companions to join the story as it continues to unfold. The Ashen Crescent is a long-form, ambitious D&D 5e campaign inspired by the Third Crusade, told through a lens of faith, prophecy, and political intrigue. Imagine a holy city where banners of rival religions hang side by side; where incense and blood mix in the same streets; where ancient relics, half-remembered prophecies, and bitter oaths drive men and women to fight, pray, and betray. Set in the grand desert city of Elarah, you will step into a world of: Crusade-era conflict: rival faiths clash over relics and scripture, each believing salvation is theirs. Early medieval aesthetics: swords, shields, banners, cloisters, and bazaars. No very high fantasy tropes. Magic is semi-rare and mystical. Low fantasy, high stakes: the miraculous feels sacred, not common. Politics and belief matter as much as steel. Moral ambiguity: there are no clear villains, only zealots, survivors, mystics, and opportunists. Or so you think... The factions are: Luminari — the Sun-faith of order, dawn, and light. Sulahim — scholars, jurists, and fire infused desert camel-lords. Yeshari — cunning keepers of covenant, memory, and exile. Wayfarers — silk road traders, mystics of prisms and hidden paths. Your choices shape the city’s destiny. Who you kneel to, who you betray, which side you protect. All of this carries weight. The System & Tools System: D&D 5e+ (characters tracked on D&D Beyond). VTT: TaleSpire. Custom 3D maps and set pieces (requires a PC with semi-decent specs). This entails that either you have the $24.99 version of the game (Steam), or you are able/willing to buy it. Also, you will need a mini (best created in Hero Forge). Please adjust for that. ⚠️ Important ⚠️: This campaign is essentially a paid-level production offered free. I am building custom TaleSpire boards, art assets, lore documents, and immersive narrative arcs. Because of that, I expect the same level of seriousness/commitment from players: punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to roleplay. Seriousness doesn't mean no fun allowed. In the end, we all seek the escapism and fun found withing D&D. Seriousness instead means commitment, and reciprocating the same effiort I put into giving you this story. Schedule Main Session: Saturdays @ 5:00 PM EST Fallback: Fridays (same hour) when attendance issues arise Sessions are multi-hour, roleplay-heavy, and story-driven. Combat will be present, but when it hits, it HITS! What I’m Looking For I need players who will commit long-term. Respectfully but firmly: if you are just looking to scratch a quick D&D itch for a couple of sessions, this is not the game for you. This is a campaign built to last, and every time someone leaves, it disrupts immersion and damages the living story we are building together. This campaign has been going on for around a year, and it doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. Use this as reference to the commitment you will be making. I’m seeking: Reliability & punctuality: Respect everyone’s time. Commitment: Stick with the campaign until its conclusion. Since this story has already begun, reliability is even more important. New characters are stepping into a web of alliances, rivalries, and prophecies already in motion. Ambition: Players who actively pursue goals and drive the story forward. Love for roleplay: Dialogue, tough moral choices, faction intrigue. Good mic + capable PC: Technical reliability is part of the immersion. How to Apply If this speaks to you, especially within the scope of commitment, send me a DM or post a comment with: Name/Age/Timezone Confirmation you can commit to Saturdays 5 PM EST (Fridays as fallback) Confirmation that your PC can run TaleSpire + mic confirmation Your D&D experience (new/casual/veteran) A short character seed (2–4 sentences: motive, flaw, and which faction intrigues you so far) Why you’re looking for a long-term campaign, and why does this one resonate with you From there, we’ll schedule a short Discord interview to ensure compatibility. This isn’t meant to gatekeep. It’s to protect the story, the group, and the time we’re all investing. Why Join? Because The Ashen Crescent is designed to feel like stepping into a living chronicle. Think the Crusades retold in a D&D world. A city of temples and markets, faith and blood, prophecy and steel. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something epic, morally complex, and richly atmospheric, this is it. If you’re ready to swear your oath and carry it through to the end — Elarah awaits. Here synopsis about most of what has happened so far: Each of them crossed the Kesareth Desert alone, drawn by purpose, faith, or something they could not fully explain. Their paths converged at a Wayfarer caravanserai, where strangers became companions out of necessity. From there, they set their sights on Elarah, the sacred city at the heart of the desert, said to be a place where prophecy, power, and belief all collide. Days into their journey, the sky erupted in a storm of falling stars. The heavens burned with unnatural color, and those who witnessed it were forever changed. A crystal-like mark formed on their right forearms, alive in ways none of them understand. It reacts. It pulses. It seems to answer to something beyond them. When they finally reached Elarah, they found its gates sealed. The city had already begun to fracture under the weight of its own faiths. Forced to slip inside through the sewers, they were met with a truth far worse than rumor. Elarah is not simply tense. It is unraveling. Within its walls, four competing faiths struggle for control, each convinced they alone hold truth. Law is enforced with severity in the Ink Row, where rulings are swift and often merciless. The streets are filled with unrest, quiet fear, and the sense that something inevitable is approaching. Amid this instability, the players found footing with the Red Company, a powerful mercenary force tightening its grip on the city. They offer work, protection, and information, but never freely. Every favor has weight, and every agreement draws the players deeper into a web of ambition and control. After making a rash decision to stand for their morals, the group feel the consequences of their choices. Hunted by half the city, and narrowly escaping a close brush with the punishment hanging over their head, they leverage what little favor they have left with the Red company to arrive at the four pillars, the birthplace of a faith that spans the known world. There, the party found both a new truth and a new purpose under King Baldwin. Following the command of the King, the party sets sail into the Levantine sea, heading into Anatolia to investigate the lack luster support given by one of the holy orders to the defense of Elarah. On their way there, the captain screamed for the party and crew to man the defenses, chaos erupting as they scramble: fumbling over ropes in the cramped deck; on the horizon: three ships appearing on the horizon, sails raised at full mast, rushing into combat range. A grueling sea battle ensued, ballista cracks and screams filling the air; through skill, planning, trust, and faith the players managed to barely escape with their lives at a great cost. Now stranded in the middle of the sea, exhausted, lost, and clinging to life; the players will be tested in a hostile and unforgiving environment; surrounded by miles and miles of deep water, they must find a way to their destination. Or at the very least survive. The party stands at a crossroads. War is no longer a distant threat but an approaching certainty. Each faction calls for loyalty. Each path carries consequence. The question is no longer whether Elarah will change, but who will shape what comes next. And whether this fragile alliance of strangers can survive long enough to choose.

Looking to join a campaign that is NOT paid or being hosted on Tuesday or Wednesday!  I'd say I'm very knoweldgeable in 5e (2014) having played it for several years now but I do prefer to play a bit more casually than pure min-maxy. You can also contact me on my discord: Kaybold_ I'm available most weekdays all day and saturdays and sundays I am available after 4pm my time.

⚔️ Experienced martial player with ~3 years of D&D 5e under my belt. I gravitate heavily towards martial classes and know the ruleset relatively well. 🎯 I play tactically and always come to the table prepared. When it's my turn, I'm ready to go. 🤝 I'm looking for a proper campaign with a solid group mature, respectful players who are there to have fun and collaborate. Not interested in Play-by-Post. If that sounds like your table, let's talk! 🎲

Discord

Communication
Discord is a versatile, all-in-one communication platform that has become the "virtual table" where most modern TTRPG games actually happen. Originally launched in 2015 as a gaming-focused alternative to Skype and TeamSpeak, it has evolved into the industry-standard social layer for roleplaying. It provides the voice, video, and text infrastructure that bridges the gap between digital tools and the human connection of a live session. Description For tabletop players, Discord is the lobby, the game room, and the after-party. It allows groups to organize their lore in persistent text channels, coordinate schedules through integrated calendars, and play with low-latency voice and video. While it doesn’t provide a native "map and minis" grid, its ability to integrate "Bots" for dice rolling and its high-quality screen sharing make it the essential companion to every other tool in the digital RPG toolkit. System Overview & Key Features High-Fidelity Voice and Video Discord’s core is its "Go Live" technology, which allows GMs to stream their entire desktop or specific windows (like a VTT or a PDF) in real-time. With recent 2026 performance updates, the platform offers ultra-low latency audio, ensuring that the natural "flow" of roleplaying—interruptions, laughter, and dramatic pauses—feels organic. Text Channel Organization Servers allow GMs to create a structured home for their campaign. You can have separate channels for #lore-and-worldbuilding, #character-sheets, #scheduling, and even #in-character-roleplay where players can interact between weekly sessions. TTRPG Bot Ecosystem Discord’s greatest strength is its bots. Tools like Avrae (for D&D 5e), Dice Maiden, and Tupperbox (which lets players "speak" as their characters with different avatars) allow for a fully functional gaming experience directly within the chat interface. Built-in Soundboard and Music The integrated Soundboard and Activities features allow GMs to trigger environmental sound effects or share music directly into the voice channel. This creates an immersive atmosphere without the need for complex external audio routing. Threaded Conversations Threads allow players to dive deep into a specific tactical discussion or a piece of lore without cluttering the main chat channel. This is essential for long-running campaigns with complex plots and massive amounts of shared information. Cross-Platform Accessibility Whether a player is on a PC, a tablet, or a smartphone, they can stay connected to the game. This portability makes it the primary tool for "Play-by-Post" gaming, where a single story unfolds slowly through text over weeks or months.
