Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk

The city of Intrica lies between Poland and Germany; it was founded over 500 years ago and stands tall today. However, it has not stopped suffering its trials and tribulations. Its current one is a black hole blotting out the sun over the city. The black hole, however, is not just a black hole; it is a pocket dimension known as "The Great Selection", a Battle Royale created by an adversary of the city known as "The Silent". Within this grand Battle Royale, the winner would exit with all the powers of the other participants, meaning that if any of the very malicious beings inside of it were to win, it would spell ruin for not just Intrica, but maybe even the entirety of Europe. It is up to the agents of the Arcane Enforcement & Global Intelligence Service, aka A.E.G.I.S., to break into this battle royale and turn the odds in favor of the participants who are friendly to this world. After all, you can move a mountain if you do it bit by bit.

The holy city of  Elturel has disappeared from  the Forgotten Realms and descended into Avernus, the first layer of  the Nine Hells. This event came about as the re    sult of  an infernal bargain between the archdevil Zariel , who rules Avernus, and the treacherous High Overseer of  Elturel, Thavius Kreeg. Zariel is capturing cities and using their citizens as fodder in the ongoing conflict be tween demons and devils known as the Blood War. Next on Zariel's list of  cities is Elturel's neighbor, Baldur's Gate. The characters can be the heroes who descend into Avernus, save Elturel from certain destruction, and prevent a similar  fate from befalling Baldur's Gate. Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him.
