Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk

SYSTEM: D&D 2024 (open to 2014 rulings and elements if applicable) Platform: Discord/ DND Beyond/ Owlbear Rodeo Time: Thursdays 7:30 pm – 11:30 pm EST Session length: 4 hours Starting level: 3 Players wanted: 1-2 Experience: New players preferred, beginners welcome Hello all! Newish DM looking to hone his skills by DMing one of the starting modules of DND, Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. This module includes the classic Lost Mine of Phandelver meant for players new to DND, and expands the module into a full on campaign. While I have some DM experience, I'm always working to improve my craft and appreciate players who are patient and collaborative. I would appreciate a group full of other new people and/or people early in their dnd journey. We started with six people, but due to work and other scheduling conflicts, we are now a party of four again. That being said, we'd love to have one (or two) more players to fill up our roster, show newer people the ropes, and share in the adventure! Right now the party consists of: - a Minotaur Cleric - a Halfling Fighter - an Aasimar Warlock - and one more player (making a new character atm) Last session they (finally) reached level 3, so I figured that would be an ideal time to invite other people to join our campaign. Of course, I'll be around to fill you in on some key plot-points, help you with character creation, go over expections, so on and so forth.  WHO ARE YOU: I am looking for other people new to DND, or at the very least beginners who want to try their hand at a longer module and dive deeper into the mechanics and lore. I’m looking for players who: -        Enjoy collaborative storytelling -        Share the spotlight with fellow players -        Communicate respectfully -        Demonstrate patience in learning the system -        Demonstrate patience with the DM as he may make some mistakes -        Want to contribute to a fun table atmosphere This is an inclusive table. Respect for fellow players is expected, and bigotry, harassment, or hate speech will not be tolerated. WHO AM I? As your humble dm, I will want to reach out and get to know your ideas for your potential characters and what you’re looking for in a campaign. I try to make things as balanced as I can, but I would say this campaign is going to be 60% exploration and 40% combat. Combat encounters may be challenging and will often reward teamwork, planning, and creative problem-solving. NEXT STEPS: If interested, send me a message with your character idea and we can go from there. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to meeting ya!

The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.

Adult Player Wanted for Light Hearted, One Shot–Focused TTRPG Group We’re looking to add adult players to our long running, relaxed gaming group! Experience is absolutely not required—just bring curiosity, a willingness to join in, and a sense of humor. What We Play We play a wide range of systems and genres—classic fantasy quests, chaotic goblin nonsense, supernatural westerns, sci fi mysteries, and plenty more.   Our group leans toward short adventures and one shots rather than long campaigns. It keeps things fresh, lets everyone try new characters and playstyles, and avoids long term commitment burnout.   We do play D&D 5.5e the most, but we love trying new systems. Our Vibe We keep things light, fun, and low pressure. No rules lawyering, no perfectionism—just a bunch of adults hanging out and having a good time. • Mechanics stay simple and easy to grasp (rules are a guide) • Bold risks and silly ideas are encouraged (let’s see how we can make that happen) • Romance fades to black • Gore stays reasonable (…though someone did carry around a decapitated head once) • We respect everyone’s triggers (one player is terrified of spiders) Inclusivity Matters We are proudly LGBTQIA+ friendly and want players who feel the same. We do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, or sexism. We also avoid political debates—this is a space to relax, not stress. When & Where Every other Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. EST We play on Zoom and use dndbeyond.com when playing D&D. Want to Join Us? Check out our website to learn more: DORCS.US If the vibe feels right, reach out—we’d love to chat with you on Zoom and see if we’re a good fit.
