The HIstoria of Sonnubris - Homebrew
Greetings potential Historians! My name is Brooke (she/her) and my partner, Asteres (he/him) is planning to DM a long term campaign soon. We are looking to fill 3 seats for a long term campaign that will be ran on Saturdays ~5pm-10pm EST.
The world of Sonnubris is a ruined slice of a dying realm whose history is being dissolved by a supernatural storm called Adormiendus. Those who remain cling to fleeting dreams of the past as it is the only method that finds any measure of success on repelling the adverse effects of the storm. People are lost every Waking, but bubbles of disconnected civilizations still exist and have found their own separate dreams. But now, stirrings within the Historia hint that this may be the last gasp for this realm. Can you heroic historians make a difference? (more details in the doc!~)
What you can expect from the game:
- A character driven narrative with well integrated backstories.
- Highly customizable characters.
- A respectful and inclusive table.
- Homebrew rules, monsters, and items that operate on the chassis of 5.5e with some 5e intermixed.
- A long term game that goes into the epic levels without losing balance.
- Dynamic battles that will use owlbear rodeo (and theatre of the mind)
What we want from you:
- Be 21+
- Showing up consistently and making the game a priority.
- Be respectful and inclusive.
- Be collaborative and supportive of your fellow Historians.
- Fun, in depth, and flavorful character ideas, not just a build.
- Someone who wants to be friends outside of game, rather than just hopping in for dundah.
If this seems interesting to you then you can find more info on the game itself and lore here: Lore and Campaign Roadmap
And here is a survey to help us get to know you: Player Survey
We'll be reaching out soon!~ Be prepared to talk about character ideas for this setting in a vibe check when we reach out. We plan to do the majority of interviews on Saturday, the 17th, but we understand if another day is needed.
