Adventure of the unexplored soul

We don't have a GM or a campaign idea we're looking for, we had a campaign with some great characters but the GM didn't work out and we're looking for someone to fill the slot for Tuesday for us, so far we have a barbarain sorcerer tiefling, a Druid Artafister forest gnome, and two other players who's characters are TBD, and a come as the want player who plays a companion. We are open to others joining as well. We don't really have an idea for a campaign but we would really love it if are backstories matter to the story. Time wise we can play at the earliest maybe 7pm cst but more comfortable 8-9pm cst. Feel free to reach out to my discord I have a server made for us to voice chat in, and be use D&D beyond for sheets and VTT.

Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Looking to run a Fantasy game in the world of Faerun shaped by the players joining, deeply connecting the player backstories towards the overall setting and narrative! The journey shall begin in the Sword Coast, a place brimming with opportunity for those sharp enough to spot it, or for those opportunistic enough to steal it! Adventure lurks behind every isle that spreads across the deep oceanic expanse, a whisper inside every tavern foretelling the coming of doom, and monstrous noises can often be heeded from outside the sanctuaries of human settlements... And most important of all... Treasure can be found in the most dangerous of places, and danger is everywhere!    The BBEG and forces of evil will be directly linked to the players, leading to an exciting as well as personal experience tailor made for those looking for deep stories full of intrigue, emotional moments of triumph, as well as the good running joke that unites everyone together!  Will you be an escaped drow from Menzoberranzan, searching for refuge and a place to call home among compainions. A ruthless assassin from Waterdeep, a tongue as silver as the thin daggers you weild to great effect. A city guard from Baldurs Gate that wishes to explore the greater world, not letting the titanic walls confine your adventuerer spirit any longer! The world is open and excepting of adventuerers from all backgrounds and walks of life!  For those interested in joining share a potential player character you would like to bring life to! A simple idea can blossom into a beautiful tale, so dont be afraid to share an idea we can build upon together with further details about the world and its inhabitants!  If this sounds interesting to you or if you have any further questions please feel free to send me a message on Groupfinder or on Discord, or a message to gringo1380 who shall be the DM for this campaign!
