A New Dawn – Level 14 Epic Intro

Hello! I've made a D&D westmarch that is inspired by wuxia and xianxia fantasy! I would love if people could join, or if they showed any interest in it! I'm working on a Roleplay-Only system for people that like the setting but don't want to commit to playing in any D&D games. I totally understand, and I want to a fair option for roleplayers! I'm still figuring out the Roleplay-Only system, but I would like if people join while we're getting set up! Towns and cities have become red in blood. In the wake of such disaster, the Jade Emperor himself descended from the Heavens to call upon a group of individuals, not for the ease of task in purifying the Mortal Plane, but for their hearts! These chosen heroes, gifted with the heart of valor and ability to find virtue from within, are tasked with expelling the demons back to whence they came and finding the leader behind the Spirit Border attack. Will they succeed in their divine mission, or die before they get the chance to? ≿——-༒　❈　༒——-≾ This is a real time, high-fantasy game based heavily in East Asian (multicultural) mythologies! From the Twelve Zodiacs to the origins of the Autumn Festival, this campaign-style westmarch is filled to the brim with retellings of well-known folklore, myths and legends! Each one carefully integrated into the plot, some subtly and others not. Games will be held on Thu/Fri/Sat (at 7pm BST or 6pm BST), depending on player availability. As a westmarch, we prioritize flexibility and the personal schedules of players. You do not need to attend every session, only the ones that catch your eye! A D&D 5e One-Shot About Making Bad Decisions in the Face of Certain Death The premise is simple: You are going to face something you cannot defeat. Not probably can’t defeat. Not might be able to defeat. You are completely and spectacularly outmatched. This one-shot is inspired by Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! and is designed around the idea of throwing the party into an absolutely hopeless situation and seeing what happens. ⚔️ This is NOT a traditional heroic adventure. There is no expectation that the party will defeat the final threat. There may not even be a realistic way to survive. Instead, the goal is to create a fun, memorable, ridiculous, and occasionally heroic last stand where your decisions determine how your character faces the inevitable. Maybe you run. Maybe you fight. Maybe you come up with an absolutely insane plan. Maybe you spend your final moments arguing with the rest of the party about whose fault this was. Whatever happens, the goal is to have a great time. 🎲 About the DM I’ve been DMing for 2+ years and have experience running games through Discord and Owlbear. I’m also new-player friendly. You don’t need years of D&D experience to join. This adventure is specifically built around an overwhelming threat and the possibility of certain death. Please don’t bring a character you’ve spent months developing if permanent character death would ruin the experience for you.
