Homebrew
Looking to GM a D20 homebrew since I've moved up to the mountains. I've GM'd pathfinder and DnD since AD&D 2nd Edition when I was 16 years old. I am 42 now, and now homebrew pretty much everything. We will need two pregame sessions; one where we discuss the type of world the players want to play and the type of game, and then a second where we create initial characters. I run very player involved worlds; for example, if you were to run a cleric, I would insist that you make your own dogma and worship system for me to implement. As a general rule, the more the player is involved, the more they will help create the world details. That said, I have a long standing rule that in most cases, each player is to make a 2 characters- their play character, and their world setting character. The world setting character is to be part of the local setting, and connected to the player character; imagine a spouse, child, best friend, etc. the world character is to have a meaningful role in the local setting, and to serve as backup in case the primary character is in dispose, away, or the player gets bored of their primary. Most of the time, they end up serving as plot points and world flavor, as I find a roster of friendly or associated characters made by the group to be the most useful collaboration that can be made prior to game. I also play a very adhoc game, with rules determined and noted down as they are needed, but generally use a 3 action round, d20 skill check/save based system, simplifying as many details as possible. I do not do electronic/by phone games, live only. Sadly, I cannot host but have plenty of time to devote to the game otherwise
