Vigilante Up
It's a century into the superhuman future. Superheroes, once beloved celebrities, are now viewed with skepticism after their involvement in a series of disastrous wars. Supervillains have evolved from counterculture punks to organized criminals to semi-legitimate revolutionaries.
And then there's you. You're an altered superhuman with physics-defying powers, you were rescued by your new patron when you got into deep trouble, and now you're a member of a vigilante organization that operates out of a fantastical train that can hop between nations and universes with ease.
Travel the world. Use your powers for (some definition of) good at the behest of your boss and your paying clients. Fight scheming supervillains and corrupt superheroes alike. Recruit new allies with and without powers, in high and low places. And maybe commit a few crimes, just to help keep the lights on.
The GM: Hi! I'm Julian (he/him), a forever GM in Miami looking for 3-5 players to start a superhero campaign in a universe of my own making!
The System: This game will run off of a custom system I created using the Cortex Prime toolkit. Cortex Prime is a narrative-focused system with lots of customization and rewards for creative play, and I've used its rules to create a fast-paced superhero hack. It's partly inspired by the old Marvel Heroic Roleplaying TTRPG.
The Characters: Create your character from the ground up as you see fit. Their Disctinctions, Values, and Specialties define them as a human, and their Powers make them superhuman. You have limitless possibilities for superpowers: we're talking people who wield origami weapons, inventors with robot armies, villains with transforming umbrella weapons, teens armed with playing card decks that have devastating effects, psychics that give people amnesia, people who summon manifestations of the zodiac signs, guys that punch things really hard if that's what you want -- the sky's the limit.
If you're an adult who treats other human beings with respect and dignity and you can make it to in-person games in Miami every other week, apply today -- I'd love to have you on board! If you have questions, feel free to message me here.
Day of the week and specific game store location to be determined once we've got players.
