War is coming to Staera….. For generations, the great kingdoms have existed in a tense balance—alliances forged through trade, diplomacy, and quiet rivalries kept the peace just barely intact. But now that balance is breaking. Along the contested borders of Taragon and Ciryn, skirmishes have begun to erupt into full battles, and rumors of strange occurrences on the frontlines spread faster than any official word. Entire patrols vanish, battlefields are left eerily silent, and something about this war feels… wrong. Beyond the clash of armies, Staera remains a world of deep history and powerful influence. Noble houses maneuver behind closed doors, ancient orders watch from the shadows, and guilds—like the Beast Hunters and arcane academies—continue their work as the world shifts around them. Every faction sees opportunity in war, whether for power, profit, or survival. You begin not as champions, but as individuals drawn toward the conflict—by duty, by coin, or by circumstance. What starts as a simple investigation or contract will quickly pull you into a growing storm, where the lines between right and wrong blur, and the fate of entire kingdoms may rest in the hands of those willing to act.
