It's 2007, and Emperor Ronald (First of His Name) has worked with the Adventurer's Guild and the XCrawl Commission to present a special dungeon crawl event - 20 districts of the North American Empire have designed special events which will be played internationally to brind in tourism. So far, my team has defended For Lauderdale from elementals, wrestled alligators in the Louisiana bayou, played a dangerous version of Ollama in Mexico, and took place in a Texas rodeo. Now they're somwehere in the wilds of New Mexico, finding pieces of weather balloon. XCrawl is Dungeon Crawl Classics (based on 3.5 Edition rules) set in a mirror of modern America. One of my players likens it to Shadowrun, but leaning more into the fantasy aspect. I've been running games online since 2020. In 2025, I moved from Pathfinder 2nd Edition to Dungeon Crawl Classics, specifically because of the XCrawl campaign settings. Last year's campaign was restarted after we lost two players - a father my age and his son - because the son's first child was about to be born. With two new players replacing them, we started the Road Trip campaign and lost one of the new players because their first child was about to be born. With summer ending, my adult daughter (who is trans and therefore deeply unlikely to be giving birth anytime soon) is back in college, so her job is giving her more weekend work. I would love to make a couple of new friends to fill the group back up.
