THE WILD BEYOND THE WITCHLIGHT Online D&D for Teens (Ages 13–17) Once every eight years, a strange and wonderful carnival appears out of nowhere. There are butterfly-winged performers, impossible rides, and sweets that taste like your happiest memory. But long ago, the carnival took something from each of you… and now it's back. Follow the trail past the big top and into the Feywild, a dreamlike land of riddles, mischief, and magic, where nothing is quite what it seems. This is a perfect first campaign. You can talk, trick, bargain, or befriend your way past most problems, so swinging a sword is only one of many ways to win. Expect whimsy, wonder, a few spooky surprises, and lots of laughs. GAME DETAILS - Weekly on Thursdays, 6:30 PM Eastern (2–3 hours) - FREE group Session Zero: Thursday, October 29 - First adventure: Thursday, November 5 - 6 seats (we play with 3 or more) - US$15 per session. Invoices are emailed to parents every Sunday night. - D&D 2024 rules (5.5e), starting at level 1 - Discord voice + Foundry VTT (private server, nothing extra to buy) + a free D&D Beyond account - Brand-new players welcome! We'll build characters together at Session Zero. A SAFE TABLE, BUILT FOR TEENS Parents: this game was designed with your child's safety first. • Teens only, ages 13–17. Every player's identity and age is confirmed at Session Zero. • A parent or guardian joins the first 10–15 minutes of Session Zero to meet me, confirm their player, and ask questions. • PG-13 content: adventure, danger, and spooky moments, but no graphic gore, no sexual content, and no real-world hate. • Safety tools: we agree on Lines & Veils together, and any player can use the X-Card at any time. No explanations needed, no questions asked. • I never private-message players. All game chat happens in the group's game spaces, and everything else goes by email with parents. • Respect is required: no bullying, harassment, or asking other players for personal info. • My camera is always on. Player cameras are optional, but a working microphone is needed. • With parent consent, I audio record sessions only to write recap notes. Recordings are never shared or posted, and are deleted within a week. • Everyone is welcome here: this is an LGBTQ+ friendly and neurodivergent-friendly table, and I'm happy to work with families and players with special needs. ABOUT DM DOUG I'm an experienced GM and educator who builds immersive fantasy worlds, memorable NPCs, and stories shaped by player choices. I focus on collaborative storytelling, creative problem-solving, and making every player feel part of the adventure. For 4.5 years, I ran paid online D&D games for kids through a community organization, including many players with ADHD and autism. Whether your teen needs movement breaks, extra processing time, or a quieter way to take part, I'll work with you to make the table fit them.
