You are outlaws, operating at the fringes of the once great Kardashev Imperium. Whether driven by ambition, discontent or simple necessity, you seek to find your own fortunes. Either way, times of change present opportunities for the bold.  So, prelude aside, this campaign is an criminal focused Traveller game, set in my original setting, the Kardashev Imperium (Think something inspired by 1890s-1910s Imperial Russia). You as PC's will be doing a range of jobs in the legal fringes of this setting, primarily a mixture of smuggling and heists, with hauling cargo/passengers on the side. Once you make it out of the first adventure you will have your own ship also. The campaign will be a sandbox-ish game, but with a long term focus on building a narrative based on the jobs you take and events that play out in doing said jobs.  Looking at running through Voice on Discord, and Fantasy Grounds as VTT.  As a GM, I generally go for a game where Narrative is supported by mechanics. I'm willing to wing it where it makes more sense, but value mechanical systems to create a certain predictability/consistency to the world. Equally however, I think a primary skill of any good GM is knowing when to rely on mechanics, and when they aren't necessary.  I like to encourage players to have a good sense of their characters, but also to leave space to discover more about who their characters are through play. I don't always make the odds against you fair, but will try to adjudicate impartially. If you come up with something creative, I generally try not to get precious about disruptions to my plans. (Frankly, there are few things as fun on my end as when the PC's come up with something completely unexpected, or approach a task in a way I never thought of). You are a level one barbarian.  Your village was destroyed while your hunting party was still out in the river plains, so when you returned to the hillside to find everyone slaughtered, you find some things you've never encountered before.  Long pointy things with feathers at the back.  Hats made of something hard and cold.  And more fire than you've ever seen.  Maybe the world is bigger than this isolated valley.  Nothing left here anyway.  The old tales tell of another group of your people who found an almost identical valley by crossing the dry lands beyond the mountains, but none have dared outside the valley for generations. It seems the valley is no longer safe.  Time to set out to find your kin, if any exist. ------- Yes, everyone must begin as a level 1 barbarian.  You will gain a second level at the end of your first session.  The party discovers civilization together and may multi-class at Level 2 into any class of your choosing...or not.  I use a homebrew-ish rule for travel rolls modified from AIME, but other than that we're going with simple 5.5e.  I'm not an overly technical DM, but no edgelords trying to MAXX OUT or dominate the game or the world or anything.  This is grounded in realism, and illiterate, isolated barbarians are going to have some different perspectives.  They dream of good hunts and safety and pray to a pantheon of representative animal spirits that have always protected their tribe.  Your culture has one-syllable names and an egalitarian society with often blurred gender roles and a clothing-optional vibe. Hey hi hello, y'all! My name is Po and I'm looking to play a semi-historic campaign with a little fantasy elements imbued into it! The party is going to be a American military specialist unit that has been brought into the Vietnam war to combat violent and powerful spiritual entities that are attacking soldiers and civilians alike. It's inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen and will be using my own homebrew system I've developed through original techniques and cherry-picking parts I like from others I've seen. Hi.  I run a game on Discord, Tuesday nights, 7 PM Eastern.  It’s a fantasy game…sometimes.  It’s sci-fi set in Shanghai…well, maybe next week.  It was a western a week ago, I think, or was that gothic horror? The game has you as a special agent, traveling to alternate histories for a massive, multi-reality travel agency.  Because all possibilities are possible, you can be whatever you want (within reason, about as powerful as an X-Man/Teen Titan and you must appear as human or at least as something that’s common in reality like a squirrel or something).  Our group has a Fae cowboy, and a dieselpunk femme fatale.  You come up with the concept and we’ll make it happen. The game uses GURPS – a very old, crunchy and confusing game engine.  However, you will not have to do anything, just tell me what you want & I do the numbers.  I (the GM) am so backwards that we do not use AI or software.  I use a paper map and puppets. A bit about the group.  We may have one person, maybe more, leaving and we need a replacement.  This is not set in stone & cannot guarantee this will happen.  The group is mostly younger (20’s-30’s) & mostly women.  Therefore, I would prefer anyone joining to be a woman or at the very least not be weird about it.  This will get you immediately banned.  Please be nice and professional. Acaridian is a simple world of fantasy but not at the mercy of its own chaos. We are set in the desert of Anibuah, a land of dune and scorching rays of heat and herds of vicious monsters, the land is threatened by orcs and elementals as the dragons slumber begins to break from chains beneath, a titan that must remain sealed and now our party is here in search for a lost relic, one which may prevent the titan from awakening, but first they must find the hall of judgement, where the elder god Judge had imprisoned Diablo the dragon titan of ages.. Moth to a Flame focuses heavily on: Exploration with rich worldbuilding, deep lore, high fantasy, cosmic horror and meaningful character progression. Evolving combats and boss encounters, as well as cosmic wonders and chances, the bigger the parties influence, the stronger the enemies. This campaign has a unique Homebrew Rune System, using charts to grant creatures runes based on words forming their own unique element with its own rarity and authority over other rune power. Runes is a massive concept for the Acaridian Series and is a great way to explore creativity. I use homebrew feats to impliment abilities and google docs for stats, its simple but it can be a little overwhelming at first, but trust me once your in the flow, its amazing. This is a beginner friendly and open campaign where the players get to decide on what they want to do whilst playing.  The world lore revolves around the dead 3, which are the 3 gods that share the throne of death after the old god of the dead resigned. The world has and will slowly become worse and worse off whilst the dead 3 fight for power in the material plane. Hi all, I'm Biggles 43 he/him looking for 5 players to have a great time playing some B-Movie Schlock.  It is that season to enjoy your favorite b-movie inspired one shot. The residents of a sleepy, rural desert town must contend with gigantic rabbits. We will use Discord for voice and rolls and we will not likely use a VTT. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. You are summoned to receive further instructions for your retrieval quest from him at the “Plunderer’s Tavern” at noon. Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Welcome to Vancouver by night! In this play-by-post one-on-one roleplay you will take on the role of a regular inhabitant or visitor of the city who unknowingly draws the eye of a vampire. The story starts just before your character is embraced and we will explore how they find their place in the world of darkness. And, of course, see how they may rise or fall. There are many things going on in the city, and your character will have a definite impact on them. And in the longer run, they will be able to shape events. Naturally, there will be plenty of NPCs, some of whom will also have to be partially designed by you. Or at least, have a basic concept given. After all, if there for instance is a spouse or parent, you should have a say about who they are. As a play by post game, my goal as a storyteller is to post at least once per day in a way that moves the story and character forward in some way. We will reserve rolls for the most relevant bits to keep things moving. The core of this game will be character development and really exploring the world of darkness. Action will be a less important element and will be reserved for crucial dramatic moments. After all, what is a mere neonate to do against the power of the elders? With everything that is happening, I have been looking forward to the new Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG, and I have been making my preparations for the upcoming release, especially since I have early access to the PDF of the book. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, extreme violence but with the occasional HR training module about problemsolving skills. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Hey I am R, anyways, I am looking for a dm and possible 2 players, we don't mind homebrew stuff as long as its not super op, we will probably use dnd beyond for the sessions so if anyone has access to books on there that would be lovely, its not a requirement by anymeans. About the Campaign: I have tried doing isekai dnd before, but what I want to do this time around is players being reincarnated as low-level monsters for the first few sessions and then gaining their first levels later down the line. Would be pretty hard game, as monsters would be at disadvantage, but who knows what might come out of it. Planning to also run it as a combat heavy, dungeon survival campaign. Players would be able to evolve their characters with certain circumstances, including sacrificing souls of humanoids for a ritual. This evolution would be a custom mechanic and a way to get extra features both for your race, and your class. About time: I am planning to have sessions run at least 3 hours. This would be 2 different groups at 2 different time. One at Fridays 6 PM EST, another at Saturdays 7 PM EST About DM : I am an experienced DM of 6 years making a new campaign open for new players to join. I'll be happy to teach and explain anything about Dnd. I am happy to accommodate any type of player, as long as they are not disruptive and are not causing issues for me or any other players.
