Looking for new players for shadowdark RPG games in Keswick,Cumbria.  I have an established gaming group and am looking to expand session frequency through additional players Group is new player friendly Shadowdark is a rules-lite d20 system with OSR vibes. Open to other game systems in the future. Current casual  campaign is a west marches style setup where each session an expedition party leaves a central base to explore the world through rumours and previous expedition logs , each session ends with surviving party members returning to base.  Looking for players wanting to play sessions between weekly and monthly cadence, If is enough players available on a day(3+) then I will run a session/expedition.

Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Will be played in Discord voice chat, "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) My Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures Ratio: 40 Roleplay/40 Exploration/20 Combat Starting level is 1, standard array for abilities Spells become cantrips, you can cast them without components or GP Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed Instead of HP you have healthbars, & you don't know how big are your enemies healthbars Healthbars are rather "cinematic". Depending from how much dmg you receive, i'll adjust your condition. But in general: 6 HP: Sorcerer, Wizard 8 HP: Bard, Cleric, Druid, Monk, Rogue, Warlock 10 HP: Fighter, Paladin, Ranger 12 HP: Barbarian Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About the forbidden spells. As an example, this is only lvl 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools, (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise) you just cast this spell & it does it Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Hi everyone I'm looking for 4-6 players for a Darkest Dungeon themed old school D&D campaign. I'll be running it through Old School Essentials (A repackaging of Basic/Expert D&D) with some fairly heavy homebrewing to make it fit the source material (Stress, Quirks, Unique Heroes) It should be fairly accessible to anyone, regardless of your experience with D&D or old school play. The overall focus will be on delving the dungeons of the region, recovering artefacts, amassing wealth and getting powerful enough to finally defeat the evil deep beneath the manor. Currently looking at Sunday 6pm CET / 12pm EDT with some room for flexibility based on replies. Play will be on Discord. Open to any enjoyer of Darkest Dungeon, regardless of experience.
