(Think along the lines of TMNT. ) Be it for entertainment, service, science, etc. Then the nuclear apocalypse happened and most of humanity is now wiped out. Now it’s the animal mutants like yourself that makes up the majority of Earth’s sentient population. You are part of adventuring group that has been contracted by the “mostly” mutant animal democratic nation of Cardania for a scouting mission against the tyrannical Empire of Humanity!
